Meet Lilah she is a 7-year-old, female German Shepard that weighs 70 lbs. She can best be described as sweet, smart, calm, and loyal. Lilah loves breakfast, her ball, squeaky toys, her foster family, treats, dinner, and playing fetch. She LOVES fetch and for her age she has some good stamina!
Upon intake she already knew sit and was fully potty trained. She is crate trained and enters the crate willingly however, due to her exceptional behavior, she is allowed to remain uncrated while her foster family is away. She walks well on a leash but does pull when excited and could use additional training. Sheās not a chewer and her foster family has never heard her bark. Ever.
Lilahās foster family has multiple dogs varying in age, size and energy. She has done well with all of them but generally keeps to herself and would be perfectly content with or without other dogs. She has done great with children and loves her foster familyās 11-year old human child. Despite being emaciated when we got her she takes treats gently and has never displayed any signs of aggression or reactivity including food aggression or resource guarding.
Lilah is NOT a cat fan, but can you blame her? Cats are shady! All joking aside, Lilah has exhibited a strong prey drive towards cats which is not uncommon for German Shepards. Although it is unclear if her interest is playful in nature or homicidal, a home without cats is required.
Lilah is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and up to date on all her vaccines.

Meet Darla! This Pocket size American bully is 3 years old and weighs a 33 lbs. She came to CLMR after people in a Katy subdivision watched her owners throw her out of their car. We assume she was used for breeding and was discarded after they had no more use for her. š„²We assume her life wasnāt that great but Darla was nothing but tail wags when she got to her foster home. She loves all people and We found out she LOVES playing with other dogs! She loves toys, bones and running in the yard. Due to her breed she isnāt overly hyper and will tire out quick. Once her energy is out Darla is the biggest snuggle bug!! She will happily lay with anyone on the couch and watch a movie. She is great with kids and was in a foster home with 5 and 7 year old little boys. We think kids 5 and up would be best. Darla wasnāt potty trained at all when we got her. She has come a long way and is at 100% now. With consistency she will not have any accidents inside. She does well in her crate but doesnāt like being locked up for more than six hours during the day.At night time she will sleep in her crate all night long.
Darla is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and up to date on all her vaccines.
Darla was failed by her previous owners so we would love nothing more than to find her an amazing home for Christmas. If youāre interested, please fill out an application.

Help needed
We have several moms with puppies right now and are running low on whelping pool covers. We buy them off Etsy but they are pretty pricey. Do we have any followers that can sew some for us? We will pay for supplies. Let us know if you can help. Thanks!
Meet Buddy!
Buddy is a sweet little shepherd mix who was found under a car when he was around 8 weeks old. He started small but is growing fast!
He soon found love in his foster home that includes 4 human children and two sister-dogs. He loves to play tug of war and is very curious. He loves to go outside and follow his sister-dogs around the yard, but he also ventures off on his own to investigate bugs, sticks, and puddles. After his outside adventures, he enjoys a good tummy rub, cuddle or nap.
He is crate trained and is working hard on house training. He follows the example set by his sister-dogs and now rarely makes a mess in the house. At night time, he curls up with the big dogs to relax before they are all put in their crates for the night.
He would do well in a house on his own, with children and/or with other dogs. He cannot wait to meet his forever family!

Dogs do speak, but only to those who know how to listen.āā Orhan Pamuk
Lombardi is a 4 year old, 85 lbs. German Shepherd. He is dog/cat/kid friendly and house trained.
Lombardi was found helpless on a busy highway 40 miles south of his familyās home. When the owners were contacted, they showed complete disinterest in Lombardiās health, whereabouts, and overall condition. After having several friends and family reach out to the owners, we eventually found out that the owner had dumped Lombardi with no regard to his vitality or wellbeing (NOTE: the authorities have been notified and a criminal complaint has been filed). Even admist this wrongdoing, good came about in an unexpected ways.
The good samaritan who found Lombardi was kind enough to take him to the nearest vet and was able to take care of several of his medical needs as a result of him being dumped.
So, now that you have the story about how Lombardi came into our lives, weāll now get into who Lombardi is. First and foremost, Lombardi is a good boy AND an even better dog.
He has an intelligence that rivals Ivy League professors. There is quite literally nothing this guy canāt learn. In the time weāve had Lombardi, heās learned to sit, paw, and lay as commands. He also has been crate/kennel trained in less than a weeks time and honestly, Iām not sure heāll ever feel comfortable eating his food and drinking his water outside of a kennel ever again.
Lombardi has an unforgettable personality and his only will to live is to serve his master or mistress and make them happy. That might sound like a harsh choice of words, but once you meet Lombardi and you understand the kind of dog that he is, you will come to see that the reality Lombardi lives in is a simple one: itās built on love, trust, and belly rubs (ok, sometimes he really and let me emphasize here REALLY enjoys a cheek rub, behind the ear rub, or right in between the eyes and above the nose. But I digress). Lombardi is very friendly with humans of all sizes (although he doesnāt always know his size) and when it comes to the four legged critters, heās great with dogs. Although you may hear a little rumble deep in his chest, he is quite literally all bark and no bite. I would say heās so nice he wouldnāt even hurt a fly, but that would be lie becauseā¦ wellā¦ he does have a certain talent. THIS GUY CAN CATCH AND KILL FLIES/MESQUITOES MID-AIR! Itās truly the most insane thing Iāve ever seen a dog do. He is a gentle giant who loves play time and deeply desires the affection and time spent with his human.
Lombardi really just loves the company of others. His mouth almost always creates an infectious smile that turns even the most steadfast of dog haters into interested parties. He will ask for pets. He will beg with his beautiful eyes to give him just oooooonnnnnnnneee more treat. Not only will he *politely* crawl onto your couch or bed, he will become ever so confused when you tell him, ādude, I love you but Iām unsure your 85 lb. frame will fit on my lapā.
Lombardi is an easy dog to train, an easy dog to live with, and an even easier dog to love. His sixth dog sense of knowing your emotions and tailoring his dog powers to make you feel better about your existence is almost his best quality. That being said, he will expect you to reward him with kisses, pets, and cuddles. It pains me to know that I am unable to give Lombardi the proper attention and time that a dog like him requires. Having Lombardi in our lives, for however short weāve had him, has made me feel thankful for him and the simple joys he gives and receives. There is only so much more I can write until this becomes too long to read, but if I were to end with one thing, it would be this: Lombardi, for all his talents and flaws, deserves happiness. When we found him, it was heartbreaking to see the defeat in his eyes. Defeated and disappointed by a family that promised to love him, cherish him, stick by him through thick and thin, only to be tossed away like refrigerator leftovers. No dog deserves that. Lombardi didnāt deserve that. But with a little bit of time and a lotta bit of love, you can now see that what was once sadness and despair in his eyes has turned into curiosity and hope. Hope for a better future with a family that will make the last of his days, the best.
Lombardi is neutered, Hw negative and fully vaccinated. He has had a exam and is a healthy pup. He will come with a rabies Tag and microchip. All of our Dogs get multiple rounds of dewormer and are on flea tick and heartworm prevention while in our care.

Meet the sweetest soul you'll ever meet! Wrenley has come a long way since her foster mom got her on November 21st, 2022. She has been with the rescue a whole year! She is ready for her forever home.
Her foster mom thinks she grew up on the streets and didnāt get to learn how to be a dog, she missed out on her puppy stages of feeling love, learning new tricks and getting new toys, and living in a warm home with great fur parents.
When her foster mom got her she had 4 babies, that she adored. She was a great mom and enjoyed playing and cuddling with them. Her babies got adopted and now it was time to focus on this sweet one.
Every day she grows into her personality, from the start, she would hide in a corner with her tail tucked or would run away when her foster mom would try to pet her.
Now she loves to give kisses. She is a kissing machine. When her foster mom comes home from work. She barks with joy, her eyes light up. She jumps and dances around with excitement. She is a huge cuddle bug, she loves watching movies on the couch. She will jump up on the couch and curl up right beside you. She loves sleeping in bed with her foster parents she rests her head on her foster mom's legs. She sleeps peacefully
throughout the night.
Wrenley is in a foster home with 5 dogs and four cats and gets along with all of them. She isn't interested in the cats but will sneak a kiss if they show her attention. She is very gentle with them and loves cuddling with them.
She loves kids she has been around a 4-year-old and ended up snuggling with him watching lion king. She is a big fan of the little ones and their giggles.
She loves playing in the backyard with her foster fur siblings. She loves playing tug of war and throwing the ball and chasing after it. She is super fast! She could be a track star!
She is potty trained and crate trained and does great on a leash walking with another dog.
Wrenley needs to be in a home with a dog or dogs so she can have a friend and they can keep teaching her how to be a dog. She needs an adopter who has patience with her and understands with the right people she is growing every day!
Have patience beautiful things take time to grow.
Wrenley is a female three-year-old boxer mix. She is spayed and fully vaccinated. She is HW negative. She will also come with rabies, exam and f***l float. All of our dogs are dewormed multiple times and are given Simparica Trio for flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Meet Sam! He is an 18 month old GSD that weighs 75lbs. His foster mom says he is a really sweet boy and would be a great addition to any family. He is in a home with teenagers and a 4 year old. Due to his size a home with older kids might be best but he is not aggressive in any way. True to his breed Sam is very smart, easily trained and has a good amount of energy. He would enjoy another dog to play with or someone who will take him on daily walks/runs. Sam is kennel trained, potty trained and doesnāt get on the furniture. He is good with dogs but would be fine as an only. We donāt know about cats.

Casper is a really good, sweet, loving boy who would like nothing more than to spend the holidays in his forever home with his very own family.
Casper doesnāt bark - he bays. That, combined with a scruffy, wiry coat leads me to believe heās a hound/terrier mix. As his personality has come out, heās proven himself to be a big, lumbering, goofy puppy.
Casper is 2 years old. He weighs 62lbs. His ideal weight is 65-75lbs.
Casper is in a house with cats. Heās gentle and respectful with her. That said, sheās used to big dogs. When she runs, he chases, so although heāll do fine with a dog-savvy cat, a skittish one that runs from him will trigger his prey drive. He was also scared of his foster dadās wheelchair at first, but quickly got used to it and has no issues with it anymore. With time and patience he will adjust to new environments.
Casper has been around a toddler several times and each time he was gentle and respectful with her, too. Also very tolerant, as you can see from one of the pictures where she kept putting a plastic flower on his head - he just rolled with it. He is, however, a large dog and doesnāt always know his own strength when itās playtime, so small kids may get knocked over on occasion - he might do better in a home with bigger kids.
Casper loves other dogs. Heās curious and friendly, and doesnāt react when other dogs bark at him. My Neighbor Isabell has regularly taken him for play dates with her dog, Milo (pic of Casper and Milo below). They play nicely together. He also loves to shred plush toys and he has a rope toy that he likes to run around with in the yard, but hasnāt shown much interest in hard chew toys.
When we first took him in, he obviously hadnāt ever spent time inside a house. It didnāt take him long to figure out that being inside is GREAT! He loves snoozing on the couch, and loves sleeping in the bed between my parents even more. š They didnāt do much crate training with him but he willingly goes inside the crate and will stay there without a fuss if we close the door. He will also happily stay in a bedroom with the door closed for some time. Weāve left him home alone (with the cat) multiple times for several hours and he was fine. And despite his complete lack of familiarity with being an indoor dog, he has never once had an accident in the house - he goes to the back door and waits to be let out when he needs to potty.
He loves walks and does very nicely on a leash. He doesnāt pull, although he will occasionally cut you off for an interesting smell. š
Casper is neutered, He is fully vaccinated. He has exam and is a healthy pup. He will come with a rabies Tag and microchip. All of our Dogs get multiple rounds of dewormer and are on flea tick and heartworm prevention while in our care.

Meet the sweetest soul. SHADOW! š¾
Have you always wanted a husky?! Well, you're in luck! She is the perfect size. She weighs 40lbs.
Shadow was dumped at a job site with her three babies. All of her babies have been adopted and now it's her turn to find her forever home for Christmas.
Shadow is still a puppy, she is probably 11 months old. She is potty trained and house trained. But if you leave your shoes or socks on the groundā¦. They are her new favorite toys. š¤£ Shadow is kid friendly, she loves kids. Her eyes light up like Christmas lights! She has been around a 5 year old and was so gentle and loved when he shared his pizza with her.
Shadow is dog friendly and loves having another dog in the house to play with. Bonus points if they will chase her around the back yard. She has been in a house with 9 dogs from small to large sizes. She has also been in a house with 4 cats! One of her best friends is a cat and she loves kisses from them.
Shadow loves to snuggle in bed, but she will also sleep on a dog bed by the floor. She will never say no to being the little spoon in bed with you.
Shadow was never given a puppy life with new toys or treats. She was used to breed puppies and once the horrible humans were done, they dumped her. She is learning new tricks everyday, like how to sit and lay down. She knows the words ānoā and ādrop it.ā She is working on kennel training and getting use to it.
Shadow isnāt hyper active dog, she loves laying on the couch and watching tv through out the day. She will only play if another dog wants to play with her. She is a very calm and mellow dog. Her foster mom calls her a couch potato.
Shadow would thrive in a home that has a backyard. She would also do good with people that work from home or are retired. She can be in a kennel and has been in a kennel for up to 5 hours. She has anxiety and is afraid to be abandoned again. š©
She really is the perfect dog. She will light up your day with her smile. All she wants for Christmas is someone to give her a chance and give her a forever home.
Shadow is spayed, she is fully vaccinated. She has exam and is a healthy pup. She will come with a rabies Tag and microchip. All of our Dogs get multiple rounds of dewormer and are on flea tick and heartworm prevention while in our care.

Meet Charlie! Charlie is a 19 month old Border Collie Mix with the cutest floppy ear. Charlie was found chained to a trailer by an owner who couldn't afford to feed him. When Charlie came to Cypress Lucky Mutts, he was scared and skinny, but he's come a long way and is such a lovable pup!
Charlie didnāt get to play growing up so he is all puppy and loves to be active. But heās also happy to chill on the couch or in his kennel during the day. He does great when heās had a good walk (or run) in the morning to burn off some of his puppy energy. He is crate trained house trained, and is learning to play fetch and āsit.ā He can be nippy at times but is easily distracted with his chew toys or tug-of-war rope (which he loves!).
Charlie can JUMP! He will make someone an awesome ultimate frisbee partner. Charlie loves to play with other dogs and was non-reactive when he met a cat. He would do best in an active home with older kids as he can be a little too energetic for his 8 year old human foster sister. But she loves it when he will sit and cuddle with her on the couch.
Charlie loves bath time & will climb up on the chair to make it even easier for you to brush out his coat. He loves his treats - his jerky sticks, peanut butter and bell peppers are his favorites.
If youāre looking for a running buddy who will also give you the best couch snuggles, Charlie is your boy!

Daisy is an amazing, 8 month old beautiful brindle shepherd who had a rough start at life. She came to us afraid of everything and everyone. She was malnourished and had suffered abuse. She also had both rear legs broken and never treated, so one healed incorrectly, which lead to an amputation. Daisy is now a three legged sweet and much more confident girl! She is still unsure of new people and is still afraid of her own shadow, but with time, she has learned to play with her foster family, both people and dogs. Daisy would do best in a home with another dog that will be her friend and her guide as she learns her new surroundings. She is great with dogs of all sizes and even cats. She is good with the two kids living in her foster home, but that took alot of time to get there. Once she feels safe, she loves to cuddle up on the couch or at your feet. She loves having her kennel to go to when she is scared or overwhelmed. She needs someone who is patient, loving, calm and willing to let her warm up to them on her time. She would also like a home that has LOTS of chew toys and a big back yard to run in and play with her new four legged friends. Daisy deserves the best life!

R***r was left behind when his owners moved from their apartment. He is such a happy and playful baby but when he stopped eating and threw up every time he drank, we knew something was wrong. X-rays showed his intestines were twisted and he needed emergency surgery. R***r had 8 inches of dead intestines removed and he was touch and go after his surgery Thursday. But R***r is such a strong boy and pulled through. Heās eating and drinking and even trying to play with his foster siblings. But foster mom reminds him that he needs to take it easy!
R***rs surgery and hospitalization was an unexpected expense and weāre already struggling financially. Please consider donating towards R***rs medical bills. Every dollar is appreciated so much! Thank you for helping our sweet boy!

Brownie is as sweet as his name suggests! This handsome 3 year old Akita mix was found living on the streets where he was most likely dumped. Brownie loves being around those caring for him. He loves chew bones, toys, and going on walks and is friendly with other dogs who approach him. Heās got a spunky personality and he absolutely loves to be brushed (which also calms him down). Hello everyone! This beautiful girl is Udder Butter. Her foster dad named her, but her foster mom calls her Uddy.
Udder Butter is about 2 years old and possibly a boxer/pittie mix. Udder was found dumped on a rural road out in the country. She was picked up by her foster mom. Udder look confused, lost, and just plain broken. Udderās
paws were burned from standing in the middle of the road. Udder is now getting to learn what love is. Now she has a nice, temporary home with 9 other foster dog siblings. Udder Butter is extremely dog friendly, crate trained, potty trained, and knows commands like sit, paw, and lay down. She is learning her recall and itās coming along amazingly. She does well on a leash and doesnāt pull at all. Udder Butter will be a little nervous at first but warm up quickly. Once she does, she just wants to be loved, cuddle and give kisses. We are saying no cats for Udder Butter. She does okay with her foster momās cat, but she believes it would be best for her not to be tempted. She has been around livestock (cattle and horses) and does pretty good with them. Udder will put herself to bed and sleep through the night in her bed (crate).
Udder Butter is ready to find her forever family! Is that you?

My fosters call me Piper Lynne! am the sweetest, most gentle baby you'll meet. I am still learning manners, but with patience and love I'll get there! I know sit, lay, and bed. I sleep in my foster parents room on my own bed, occasionally going in their bed for cuddles. I may be 57 pounds, but I fit perfect in your lap... right?š
I get along with my foster siblings for the most part, I'm still learning where I go in the pack. I do have a small prey drive so no cat siblings please.
I love to go on walks and am on my best behavior, I don't even chase the ducks or bark at the other dogs!
When my foster parents leave the house I go in my crate so I dont get tempted by mayhem. I do know how to escape my crate if not properly secure, I can also open doors if its a pull down. I just want to be where you are. I don't have accidents in the home, I make sure to let you know I need to go potty.
I love my foster 2 legged sisters, they are 11 years old and 16 months old! I love all the snacks I get if I watch the floor closely š and the lovings they give me!
I can't wait to meet my forever family, and my foster family would love to answer any questions you have about me!
Piper Lynne is three year olds. She is spayed, she comes with two rounds of vaccines. She will also come with rabies, exam and f***l float. All of our dogs are dewormed multiple times and are given Simparica Trio for flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
