Scenes from the Geoscientists without Borders® Houston Historic Cemetery Restoration Project "Dignity in Depth" taken at the pre-convention Field Trip on Sunday, 25 August.

This project is assisting in the refurbishment of three historic African American cemeteries, providing substantial benefit to families and communities by building respectful relationships among community groups, institutions, and geoscientists working toward cemetery restoration.

The project uses methods such as metal detectors, , , , and techniques to aid in the identification of unmarked burial locations.

The editors of Interpretation invite papers on the topic, “Understanding the subsurface helium system to advance helium exploration and development.”

Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:
* Helium exploration and appraisal case studies
* Regional helium system studies
* Redevelopment/continuing development of existing helium fields
* Evaluating carbonate reservoirs for potential helium accumulations
* Tools and workflows for evaluating legacy inert gas identifications for helium
* Understanding the nature of helium generation, migration, and accumulation in the subsurface
* Comparisons between hydrocarbon and/or CO2-associated helium systems and “green” helium systems
