-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Hobby Center for the Performing Arts is pleased to announce we will be offering a sensory-inclusive performance of Disney’s The Lion King, on Saturday, July 27th at 2:00 p.m.
Tony Award®-winning director Julie Taymor brings to life a story filled with hope and adventure set against an amazing backdrop of stunning visuals. THE LION KING also features some of Broadway’s most recognizable music, crafted by Tony Award®-winning artists Elton John and Tim Rice.
Next Wednesday, February 21st our tickets go on sale and you will receive an eBlast with further details about this exciting event, which will include information on purchasing tickets. The Hobby Center for the Performing Arts is pleased to offer all tickets at a significant discount ($10 & $25), which we hope will enable a wide audience to attend the performance.
To ensure we reach our targeted audience, we will not be publicizing the event through traditional print or media, and we felt it was more appropriate to rely on our contacts to get the word out. This performance is specifically designed for individuals with sensory differences, cognitive or developmental disabilities, and those who benefit from a relaxed theater environment along with their families and caretakers. The show will be performed in a supportive and judgment-free environment. To that end, we would very much appreciate your assistance in circulating the information to colleagues and families who may be interested in attending this performance. Those interested in receiving information about the The Lion King sensory friendly performance can contact us at [email protected] or 713-315-2418 to provide their contact information.
