Look mama I made it!

This award means so much to me. First off, you have to be nominated to even be considered and then go through an application process and give recommendation letters to be named top 40 under 40. There were over 700 applicants and to be recognized for my work as an entrepreneur, artist and muralist was and is a big deal to me.

It has been a journey to get to this point, from being homeless, penniless, to rebuilding my life and my business all while raising a baby was trying, exhausting, and defeating. To be recognized for my work it is just affirmation that I'm in the right path. This is only the beginning, the best is yet to come. Just wait, you ain't seen nothing yet.

A special thank you to the ones that have supported my business by either recommending me, commissioning me, or referring me to someone. I couldn't have made it this far with any of you. So a deep heart felt gratitude from me.

Decided I wanted to learn the doodle method since there have been many times in the past I couldn't use a projector and I was in a pickle. And also I know I'll be manifesting a very large wall commission so I need to be prepared!

P.S. I've been recording content, so I can give a step by step tutorial on how to use this method in case you're interested!

Just wrapped up this beautiful nursery mural for a beautiful girl!

I got to use my favorite colors, purple and gold. Got to have some fun with this one. Can't wait to see how my client finishes decorating her girl's room!

This took me two days with 10 hours of total paint time.

Progress shots over the 4 days to complete this little boys mural. 6 hours for the first 3 days and 2 hours on the 4th day. Total paint time - 20 hours.

Oh the places you'll go! Inspired by Dr. Suess. Featured landmarks -Eiffle tower, Great wall of China, Pyramids of Giza, Collosseum, and Christ the Redeemer.

My first time at in D.C. and I'm having a blast learning about different things that can help me be success as a woman owned business as well making amazing connections with other women business owners.

This project challenged me in a way that was unexpected. I didn't realize I would get to use my new woodworking tools on this mural!

Since we changed the wall it was being installed on originally, I had to cut the panels to size. And I also built out a frame for the first time. Thank you to YouTube University!

I enjoy carpentry and woodworking, so be on the lookout for more of that!

Finally got to see my painting hung up in its home at headquarters!

I'll be working with them again for the third time! I'll be making an embellished print of this original mural for CEO's office. This mural was co created with the entire Wellby team a few years back. We asked all 300 employees there to write down their vision that were then integrated into this mural. If you zoom in you might be able to read some of them!

I'm grateful to continuously work with amazing clients like Wellby!

Currently working on my first 5 figure commission of 2024 and I've got another one coming up soon, more on that later.

While this may not be the largest commission in terms of size and budget to date, it is a meaningful one. This start up company has been working hard in developing a product that can prevent fire from spreading. I am lucky to be a part of their newest chapter, they've just moved into a 44,000sqft facility and my mural will be located in their office!

Crazy story! and I went to grade school together in ! We haven't seen each other in over 20 years and just recently ran into each other at an event. We connected and I invited her to a conference for women business owners. Meanwhile she was in the midst of opening her bar and was needing a muralist and didn't put 2 and 2 together that I was right here all along until the day of the conference I was speaking at!
