This gal is for my dear friend/fitness coach Chandra who is fighting some very pesky glioblastoma. People were complimenting her "edgy haircut" (which was actually caused by radiation treatments–it's growing back now). I'm inspired by her in so many ways–her lovely, feminine and perky personality, her amazingly fit physique, and the fearless way she has handled this setback. So I thought I should paint a pop art Chandra. Hopefully it will inspire others. I named it "Faith". Send some prayers up for her complete healing.

It's not just a date on the calendar. Happy Independence Day.

Some fun NEWS! My painting "Native Texan" was chosen to be part of a year long art exhibition at Intercontinental Airport Houston in Terminal A near the United Club. If you find yourself in Terminal A be on the lookout for my painting, take a picture with it and tag me. I'll be excited to see who finds it! • • • FYI, Houston Airports has one of the largest public art collections in the aviation industry.
