ABOUT THE SHOW:
Now 80 years old, Andre’ was once a tap dancer. He lives with his daughter, Anne, and her husband, Antoine. Or was Andre’ an engineer, whose daughter Anne lives in London with her new lover, Pierre? The thing is, he is still wearing his pajamas, and he can’t find his watch. He is starting to wonder if he’s losing control. A poignant look at the world through the eyes of a man experiencing dementia.
CHARACTERS:
Andre
M 60s - 80s
A man in the stages of dementia. Confusion and anger lead to dynamic, powerful scenes. Requires expressive portrayal of confusion, vulnerability, and occasional clarity. Strong emotional depth needed.
Anne
F 30s - 50s
Andre’s daughter. Balances care for him with personal strife, showing resilience and emotional complexity, and yet her reserves are being strained.
Laura

In home caregiver. Compassionate and efficient.
Pierre

Anne’s partner. Loves her but shows little empathy for her situation. Ready to be free of the burden of Andre.

Lisa is thrilled to be playing the role of Emilie, a female physicist who took great
risks in her era. Emilie has been a role model to woman pursuing science and STEM professions for decades. Lisa is a public speaking coach & keynote speaker. She has worked in television commercials and theater as an actor, director, writer, and
editor. She has held roles in theatrical performances including: “Everybody Loves
Opal” (Opal Kronkie), “Sweet Delilah Swim Club” (Vernadette), “Aces” (Courtney
Gibbs, Miss USA 1988), “Steel Magnolias” (Truvy Jones), “Curious Savage” (Ethel Savage), “Nuts” (Claudia Faith), and “You Can’t Take It With You” (Alice Sycamore).
She is ecstatic to be in a line-up of a fabulous team of actors! Lisa& #39;s favorite cast of characters includes her husband James and sons Eli (19) and Daniel (16)!

“Emilie” marks Jody’s second show on the Theatre Southwest stage. He appeared in last January’s Ripcord (Benjamin/Lewis/Scary Clown). Favorite credits of Jody’s include Wait Until Dark (Roat), Lonestar (Roy), Gypsy (Uncle Jocko/Mr. Goldstone/Cigar), Lady Susan (Sir James Martin), & Run For Your Wife (John Smith). He’d like to thank Steve & Helen for giving him the chance to play such a fun and challenging character. He’d also like to thank his wife Morgan for her continuing love and support.

Aaron Cook - Gentleman
Aaron Cook is back at TSW after playing Peter in Stop Kiss by Diana Son in 2022. He has also played in a couple of TSW’s Festival of Originals shows (2016, 2020). Aaron is from Houston and studied acting while attending the University of St. Thomas (Class of ‘01). For a few years he was a guitar-carrying Spanish minstrel at The Texas Renaissance Festival, and he enjoys playing jazz piano. Now he has plans to teach elementary school in Houston. Betsy Barry - Madam
Betsy Barry returns to TSW’s stage after appearing as Christina Drayton in the recent TSW production of “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner.” With a long history of stage appearances, including performances in “Good People” and various “Festival of Originals” productions, Ms. Barry is a seasoned actress. She currently serves as the Fine Arts Department Chair and Theatre Director at St. John XXIII College Preparatory in Katy, Texas. This fall, she is thrilled to start a new role as Alumni Director at St. John. Betsy extends her heartfelt gratitude to everyone at TSW for welcoming her into this exceptionally talented ensemble.
