Literacy is important in teaching infants how to build the language skills they need to effectively communicate. Reading books, teaching sign language, and introducing vocabulary words help to prepare their brains for all the vocabulary they have yet to learn and explore.
Our family plays a huge role in who we become as individuals. Teaching children about families is beneficial to helping them gain a sense of identity and understand who they are in the world.
This week our Toddler programs took time to explore family dynamics, and how to care and love for those within our household.
Happy Back to School Week! Our kiddos throughout all our programs have been busy learning about and exploring classroom routines and centers. From the sensory table to the art center, and naptime to lunchtime they have done and seen it all.
Which center and activity do you think is your kiddo's favorite?

Young children grow up in a virtual world and enjoy playing video games. This week, Adventurers imagine what life would be like if their virtual world became a reality! An important goal of this week is to help children realize that balancing time between technology and real life is important. Sometimes we all need to “unplug” and we will help the children learn how fun it can be to do just that.
Today our Summer Adventure Club went to for a tour to see how fun it is to play sports in reality and not just in the virtual world. Go Stros! Houston Astros

The start of a new school year is always exciting, but little ones sometimes feel nervous about making the transition whether that be the prospect of a new classroom, new teachers or new friends. Try these tips to help build your child's confidence for the first day of school and beyond:
👋 Wave Goodbye to Summer: Enjoy an end-of-summer picnic and a first day back at school breakfast with your family.
🙂 Keep it Positive: Your attitude makes a huge difference when it comes to building excitement about the school year. Talk to your child about all the fun they'll have and how they'll get to see their school friends soon.
🍎 Practice Healthy Habits: Schedules tend to get off track in the summer, so it's important to reestablish your child's normal sleeping and eating schedules. The transition will be easier for both of you when your little one is well-rested and feeling good.
🗓️ Make a Paper Chain: Starting in the final days of summer, create a paper chain with every "link" representing one day. Have your child draw what happened that day on each link. When the first month of school is over, you'll have a fun memory craft to decorate with.
📚 Read Together: Reading books about heading back to school is a fun way to get your child excited while helping strengthen their early literacy skills.
Share these tips with a friend who is looking for "back-to-school" advice for their 0-5-year-old!
At an early age when children go outside, many of them are fascinated by the planes and helicopters in the sky. However, toddlers and preschoolers do not grasp the ability to fully understand how they fly except by their wings or propellers.
Today, our Summer Adventure Camp went to the to learn all about air transportation including space shuttles. After exploring the museum, they learned about aerodynamics by creating paper airplanes.
