'Efficiency and Predictability'

I recently spent half a day in our recording studio interviewing a Navy Seal of 34 years. What an honor and delight and I came away with a ton of 'elite leadership skills' that I will be sharing in future podcast.

A skill set that the Seals use prior to a mission is 'predicable
scenario's', or WHAT HAPPENS IF??????

They layout the mission, outline step by step what will be needed to accomplish the mission, but go two steps further.

They list everything that go wrong related to their step by step plans and how they will recover should it happen. Their belief is "if you have to think you are dead"

So should it be in our world. Each day we need to have our step by step plans clear, for the family, for our work or business, even our faith. Most people fail in all three due to not having a strategy when something does not go as planned.

Whether starting a business, ministry or marriage, know how to respond when what you planned for goes off track.

Layout on a piece of paper your mission in each area of life, write down the step by steps to accomplish the task and then next to each step lay out what may interrupt it's success and then next to that layout what you will do to make the correction to move forward.

'PREPARE TO WIN IN 2024'

2012 I was invited by a well respected businessman to come to Utah and consider joining him in rebuilding a 300 million dollar company that was in decline. After listening to his presentation I soon moved out to Utah with my beautiful wife to begin this massive turnaround. My primary focus was taking 250 employee's who were highly discouraged and breath life back in their spirits. My first department was the call center, a very large empty room that at one had several people now down to about 8. I began by sharing precepts on how to have CRAZYGOODSERVICE! To me the call center is the HEART OF THE HOUSE, they are the folks that are first line to all customers and business associates, their attitude controls the atmosphere of how prospects view your company. I began doing leadership sessions twice a week and to engrain their importance I had a large 30 foot wall painted RED, with the words HEART OF THE HOUSE. They took ownership of those words to become a center of LIFE to our new venture.
Today's question to you, how are you serving others that are engaged with building the culture around you, are you breathing LIFE or KILLING the spirit of those you
serve.
