Scholars Academy concluded the two-week TWC Camp STEM Prep workshop, sponsored by the Texas Workforce Commission, with more than 100 high school students from the Houston area to become better prepared for careers in the STEM area.

Congratulations to the over 50 high school students and teachers who participated and completed the NOAA Watershed Wonder Environmental Summer Research Camp 2015.

Hello fellow Scholars and UHD students and alumni!! If you know any high school students (grades 9-11th) interested in future STEM careers, please share this brochure about our free two-week summer camp in July. The UHD Camp STEM Prep 2015 is sponsored by the Texas Workforce Commission Summer Merit Program. Other than transportation to UHD, the Camp is entirely free and includes free meals and a TI graphing calculator. The application deadline is May 15, 2015.

Hello fellow scholars and UHD students, just a reminder that for the next two weeks Scholars Academy is hosting the "Spring 2015 Pre-Finals Course Intervention Series" that gives students extra tutoring on several STEM classes.

Thank you to all of the UHD students, faculty, and staff that attended our 14th Annual UHD Student Research Conference, we had Keynote Speaker Phillip Gallegos, M.D., External Community Speaker Rachana Wood, and about 100 student poster presentations.

The Keynote Speaker is UHD Alumnus and Staff Anesthesiologist, Phillip Gallegos, M.D. There will also be about 100 of your fellow peers presenting their research posters.

District’s Petroleum Academies show off their talents at the Shell STEM Showdown Students from four HISD high schools compete in the Shell Challenge designed for students enrolled in science, technology, engineering and math programs.

WTG!!! One of our UHD - Milby high school teams won 3rd place. Rice took 1st and 2nd. Others teams included uh, tamu, and tcu.
