The UHD Scholars Academy is an academically competitive program in the College of Sciences and Technology at the University of Houston-Downtown that promotes scholarship and student success for undergraduate students majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

Scholars Academy concluded the two-week TWC Camp STEM Prep workshop, sponsored by the Texas Workforce Commission, with more than 100 high school students from the Houston area to become better prepared for careers in the STEM area.

Hello fellow Scholars and UHD students and alumni!! If you know any high school students (grades 9-11th) interested in future STEM careers, please share this brochure about our free two-week summer camp in July. The UHD Camp STEM Prep 2015 is sponsored by the Texas Workforce Commission Summer Merit Program. Other than transportation to UHD, the Camp is entirely free and includes free meals and a TI graphing calculator. The application deadline is May 15, 2015.
Hello fellow scholars and UHD students, just a reminder that for the next two weeks Scholars Academy is hosting the "Spring 2015 Pre-Finals Course Intervention Series" that gives students extra tutoring on several STEM classes.

The Keynote Speaker is UHD Alumnus and Staff Anesthesiologist, Phillip Gallegos, M.D. There will also be about 100 of your fellow peers presenting their research posters.
