Heckler Law Office is moving! I loved our time on State Street and being part of The Alley District. I am grateful to Jeff Hanson and Kelly Hanson (of State Street Blinds and Design) for sharing their beautiful space with me. During the early uncertainty of the pandemic, when the courts were completely shut down, the office on State Street gave me a way to control the environment for my clients and provided a space for my daughter to participate in hybrid learning. However, the McPherson Mansion will offer more amenities to our clients, especially as the courts in Livingston County and the surrounding areas continue to expand in-person hearings. Due to power outages, our Historical Courthouse and Administration Building remained closed today, Friday 2/24. We'll provide an update as soon as power is restored!

Heads up! Much of Downtown Howell is without power. If you plan on heading out, be sure to check if your favorite downtown businesses are open. The Howell Main Street/DDA office will be closed today. Be safe!

** County Offices Closing At 11 A.M. & Courts Closing At Noon **

Due to the incoming ice and snow, we're closing our County Offices today at 11 A.M. The Courts will be closing at Noon.

A HUGE Thank-You goes out to our Livingston County MI Sheriff's Office, Livingston County EMS, Livingston County Emergency Management, Livingston County 911 Central Dispatch, and local public safety responders for working hard today to keep us safe.

Heckler Law Office has power. However, the Judicial Center which houses 44th Circuit Court (Howell Branch) and 53rd District Court does not have power and is closed at least through the morning. Effected clients have been notified.

Livingston County Courts are reverting back to Phase 1 of the return to full capacity because of the increase in community spread. Filings will be via drop box, mail, fax, or email. All hearings, except those where there is constitutional right to be in person (unless waived), will be virtual.
