Flight Plan Wine and Tapas

Several guests have asked to purchase the Flight Plan World map (70 " x 118"). We thought an auction would be the fairest option. The map is in wooden pieces that fit together like a puzzle and was bought from "Enjoy the Wood" on ETSY five years ago. We are taking bids up to Thursday, September 5th, 9 pm. Call 256-715-1653.

Flight Plan is liquidating its equipment, furnishings and fixtures. If you're in the market for booths, beautiful gold metal light fixtures, glass chiller, beer cooler, meat slicer, etc., give Belinda a call at 256-715-1653. Items will be available for pick up after September 7th, which is after our last day of dinner service.

Flight Plan has been crazy busy since we announced we are permanently closing on September 7th. It is not too late to come and see us one more time for some delicious tapas and great wine and cocktails! Reservations are highly recommended. Our revised hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 4:30 pm to 9 pm, but the kitchen closes at 8:30 pm.

So, it is said that all good things must come to an end. And so it is with tremendous sadness that we inform you that Flight Plan Wine and Tapas Restaurant will be closing permanently on Saturday, September 7th. We have no regrets about opening this “Mom and Pop” casual fine dining venue in Southeast Huntsville, but we can tell you the last 5 years have been quite a ride! It was supposed to be a wine bar with food. We evolved into a restaurant with a full bar, mostly because Chef Jim’s food was so very good. And it made me so happy when you loved the wine flights! The Front of the house staff: Michael, April and Nicki, will be serving you until the doors close. In the Back of the house, Natascha and PJ will be helping Chef Jim to the finish line. We plan to participate in Huntsville’s restaurant week August 9-17 and Chef Jim plans a grand finale five-course dinner on Sunday, August 18. More info to follow on those events. Please come by and dine with us before the doors close for good. If you purchased gift cards for someone, please let them know there is still time to use them. And if you participated in our Loyalty program and have built up points, please use them ASAP: you earned them with your patronage, which Chef Jim and I are most grateful.

This Sunday, July 28th, will be Flight Plan's last brunch service. We loved serving you one of the best and affordable brunches in Huntsville. Our unique brunch menu with the Mimosa flight and the Horseshoe were served nowhere else in Huntsville. Make your reservation for this Sunday and please continue to see us at dinner Tuesday through Saturday.

Flight Plan's dinner special this week is as delicious as it is creative and will pair wonderfully with a Malbec: Seasoned Bison on two tostadas with a Smoked Cheddar and Chihuahua cheese blend, mixed chopped greens, grape tomato slices, and our Cilantro-lime cream sauce, served with red salsa and a side of Chef Jim's refried beans. $16
