Since the pandemic, grocery chains have figured out how to make a lot more money selling less products. Check their profits over the last three years.

During the pandemic industry was experiencing supply shortages due to the shut downs. Those shortages no longer exist, yet prices have not returned to their pre-pandemic levels. In fact, consumer prices have continued to rise faster than the cost of goods sold. The gap between sales prices and the cost of goods sold is where the record profits exist.

The consumer feels it as a part of inflation. The corporations see it as good business. Politicians will tell you it’s their opponents fault. Only the first two statements are true.

This is the reason so many businesses either fail or fail to grow. If you want to grow your business, or ministry, or if you want to improve your relationships you have to choose between delegation or stagnation.

The holidays are over and the work week begins again. What are your plans for the new year? Have you considered revisiting or remarking a product or service you already provide to a new audience.

2024 may be the perfect time to see things a little differently.

This Stanley cup is teaching us a MULTI MILLION DOLLAR LESSON

sometimes you don’t need a new product… you just need a new audience 🙌🏼

Stanley is a 110 year old company and in 2019 they hit $73 Million dollars in sales

Their primary target audience were working men who needed to stay hydrated on the job sites, while hiking, etc etc

In late 2019/2020, a popular blog for women posted about this cup and her audience of women went crazy over it.. causing it to go viral several times

Instead of brushing off this sudden surge in sales from a new and unexpected audience (like many brands do)….

Stanley’s new Global President (who has a strong marketing background) decided they should go all in on this new woman audience

They launched brand new colors that were pastels and colorful (opposite of what they had done for the last century)

They did collabs with influencers and other popular brands like Starbucks

They created waitlists of thousands of women and sold out for every new launch

This year, in 2023, they are projected to hit $750 Million Dollars in sales 🔥

Sometimes you can have a winning product in your back pocket… you just need to get it in front of the right audience

Thank you Keke for reminding us that things don’t have to be big or grand. Just get started and build.

Even if you have to step back, the little things you do can have a big impact. Always take steps toward what you want. Even little steps.

Ever accepted a “free” offer that cost you more to get out of? Everything has a price. Whether it’s in time, money, physical effort, or mental energy there is a price to pay.

A man established a zoo and made the entrance fee $300 but no one went there.

He reduced it to $200 but still no one came.

He then reduced the fee to $10 but still people didn't come.

Finally, he made it FREE entrance and soon, the zoo was filled with people.

Then he quietly locked the gate of the zoo, set the lions free and made the exit fee $500 and everyone paid!

Moral of the story : As you go about in life, beware of cheap or free offers. No business is free, my friends!
