Students hoping to make the team should be reading and re-reading the books appropriate for their grade.

Congratulations to Jane Taylor for being honored yesterday for being one of our greatest volunteers! Really, truly, honestly - we’re not sure where we’d be without Jane!
For years now, Jane has come in several times per week to assist our teachers with making copies, preparing worksheets and booklets. She has given over 2,000 hours to WA Porter and we could not be more grateful!
We are so thankful for Jane!

Thanks to everyone who came out to walk with Porter this evening. We had a great time walking in the Birdville High School Homecoming Parade. It was great to see familiar faces in the crowd and a privilege to walk alongside of all of our Porter students and families! Go Panthers, and Go Hawks!!

Our Regional Day School students recently enjoyed a field trip to Calloway’s to learn about plants and what they need to grow! They bought seeds and supplies and planted them in our new sensory garden! We can’t wait to see how they grow!

Third grade organized an after school meet up to watch the new movie “Wild Robot”! They had read this book in class and were excited to compare the two!
We had SO much fun with our grandparents today. These 2 days are some of my favorite days of the year as you get to meet the network of people that have helped shape the lives of our students. Our students and grandparents had a great time, and we appreciate all of them coming out!! See you next year!

Tomorrow is picture day, which means it is also board game day in specials! Students are encouraged to bring a board game to play with their classmates. Please make sure to label your game with your student’s name.
Students are really enjoying our newly remodeled library!
Porter PE students have been doing a unit on the Olympics!
We had our first student who earned a book from our book machine! We love celebrating student success! We look forward to many more students earning these books!
