Here are just a few tips/steps you can take to improve your gut health. As always make sure you consult with a qualified health provider for more information and education.

5. Watch stress: Super easy right? However, studies have shown that stress can dramatically lower our immune system function and thus effect you gut health.

The skin has essential functions that are crucial for our health. Most skin functions work similarly in all skin colors, however there is a difference when it comes to
melanin which gives the its color.

Darker complexions have naturally higher quantities of melanin which helps to absorb UV light and also has the ability to fight free radicals more. Research has shown that darker skin has a higher natural sun
protector factor in comparison to lighter complexions.

This fact also is why darker complexions are more resistant to sun burn and to common signs of aging. However, with darker complexions, it is important to take extreme caution with aesthetic procedures like
lasers and chemical peels because exposure to heat or high levels of inflammation can result in post
inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH).

Lighter complexions on the other hand, are more vulnerable to sun damage and signs of aging. Sun damage negatively affects the DNA and the main structures of the skin causing cell mutations and malfunctioning.
