Indiana Gold Star Families Memorial Monument

This week is "Gold Star Families Remembrance Week", which leads up to Gold Star Mothers Day this Sunday, September 27, 2020.
Please take some time this week to Honor and Remember all who've paid the ultimate sacrifice to keep us and our way of life free, and their families that have been left behind who live Memorial Day every day.
Remember, the ⭐️Gold Star Families⭐️ are our friends, neighbors, co-workers, and those who walk around in silent pain from the loss of their loved one. It's our responsibility as a nation to know who they are and to acknowledge their loss and to say Thank You.

Our Story

The Indiana Gold Star Families Memorial Monument will be built to honor Gold Star Families, preserve the memory of the fallen, and stand as a stark reminder that Freedom is not free. It is a tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom and those they left behind.

The Indiana Gold Star Families Memorial Monument will commemorate the valor and sacrifice of all Hoosier veterans of our nation's conflicts and their families left behind. The number of Indiana families and survivors affected by the loss of a loved one is unquantifiable.

A Gold Star Family member can be any relative: mother, father, stepmother, stepfather, adoptive or foster parents, wife, husband, child, stepchild, adopted child, brothers, sisters, half brothers or sisters, grandparents, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces or nephews who have sacrificed a Loved One for our Freedom including families who have lost a loved one from the symptoms and illness directly connected to their military service.

The Indiana Gold Star Families Memorial Monument will honor and represent Hoosiers who died in service to our country from all war periods: Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, the Mexican War, the Civil War, the Frontier Wars, the Spanish-American War, WWI, WWII, Korean War, Vietnam Era, Gulf War and any future Hoosiers who may give their life in service to our country.
