Thanks to everyone involved at the Cycling Without Age Film Screening last weekend (7/27/24). We met the film makers, viewed the film (it's wonderful!), learned that the film won an "Iggy" award from Lens of Hope Films which also provided $2500 to he Indianapolis Chapter of Cycling Without Age. The film's North American Premiere was at the Heartland Indy Shorts Film Festival the previous evening, so Bicycle Garage Indy hosted the 2nd showing in North America! After the film there was a question/answer session with the film creators and with Jerry Simon who provided information about the cycling Without Age Indianapolis chapter and it's efforts getting people out on the trishaws, similar to what is shown in the film. Then anyone who wanted to got to experience a trishaw ride and/or piloting a trishaw. It was a great evening and we are happy to have been able to host this film screening and support the efforts of the Cycling Without Age local efforts.
Special thanks to Cycling Without Age film producer Jacob Seigel Brielle, Cycling Without Age film director Isaac Seigel-Boettner, TBD Family Foundation Executive Director Will Stoller-Lee, Jerry Simon, Cycling Without Age Indianapolis and the Cycling Without Age volunteers and to Zoe May, Bicycle Garage Indy, for organizing the event.

Thanks to Indianapolis City-County Councilors John Barth (District 7), Brienne Delaney (District 2) and Keith Graves (District 9) for spending some time bicycling in their districts this week! We had 8 riders on Tuesday morning exploring neighborhood roads and the Monon Trail in Districts 2 & 7 and 4 riders on Wednesday morning exploring neighborhood roads, bike lanes and multi-use trails in District 9. Thanks to all who attended!
Your movie was beautiful and tells such an important story, it was an honor to host the encore! Your Iggy is definitely well deserved!
We won an Iggy! Beyond stoked to announce that Cycling Without Age - The Movie received the inaugural Lens of Hope Award at the Heartland Film presented by TDB Family Foundation
Big thanks to all these amazing folks for supporting and recognizing films that spark action and dialogue. With their help, we got trishaws into the Living Room Theaters Indy and rallied the Indianapolis cycling community for an encore screening at Bicycle Garage Indy. Couldn’t have asked for a better North American Premiere.
Shout out to Cotopaxi, MOVE Santa Barbara County, and all the pedalers who helped get this story to the screen.
Also, that gnome statue 🤌
Looks like the trail is closed today so no group ride tonight at Town Run 🥺
