opening October 26th at the Athenaeum Indy
It's back!!! don't miss your chance to be a part of all the action as Ben Asaykwee has auditions for the second year of holiday hilariousness! Merry auditioners ages 6 to 106 are encouraged to join us to be a part of this wildly fun and funny musical extravaganza!
There are two ways to audition:
Audition in person!
Oct. 22nd at 6pm at the District Theatre, 627 Massachusetts Ave, Indianapolis
OR
- Send in an audition recording anytime before Oct. 23rd (see link in the comments)
The auditions for Q-munity shows are fun and relaxed and simply a chance for us to see who’s interested in being in the show and how best to cast each individual. In over TEN YEARS of presenting the Q-munity production we have always cast EVERY person who was interested. The purpose of this project is to explore, through the community, the power of original theatre and storytelling and what a positive impact it can have on audiences and participants.
If you don't see the answer to your question above or below or sideways or upside down, please feel free to email for more info: [email protected]
WHEN: Auditions are October 22nd at 6pm
WHERE: Auditions are at The District Theatre, 627 Massachusetts Ave, Indianapolis, IN
WHAT TO PREPARE:
All auditioners should prepare a short song (a holiday one would be great) to sing a ca****la (with no track or music). For this project, the funnier the better. Be creative! There are no wrong choices. Sing happy birthday, or jingle bells, or sing an aria from your favorite opera. Just let us see what you can do.
Also, please prepare a monologue, short story joke, or joke of any kind. You might also be asked to read from the script.
HOW LONG ARE AUDITIONS: We generally say to prepare to stay for an hour, but this completely depends on how many people show up to audition. The most you will stay is 2 hours.
REHEARSALS: Please see the link in the comments for an example rehearsal schedule. Conflicts are totally fine, a final schedule will be made using the casts conflicts.
PERFORMANCES: Please see link in the comments for the performance schedule [Please note that even performance conflicts are often fine, we will have a large cast and many roles can be shared or covered]
A Christmas Carol Comedy

But you should definitely see Kallen Ruston (ZirkusGrimm, A Christmas Carol Comedy) in Scary Scary beginning next week at the Athenaeum in Indianapolis.

you should, like, totally come...
AAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Like.. oh my gah... like, what... like... Carrie Powell (BOT, Murder on the Radio, STRIKE the Bowling Pin Musical, ZirkusGrimm) is also one of 6 incredible cast members appearing this month in SCARY SCARY.. get your tickets now!!!

WHAT:
Triangle, the play, explores the labor movement, specifically of the garment district in New York City, in the early 1900s with a cast of 15 actors portraying actual people in history. From the progress made by the forming of unions to the people (mostly women) taking to the streets on strike to change unsafe and unfair working conditions, the piece then blends into one of the worst workplace disasters in history allowing viewers to witness the fire firsthand.
The project also doubles as a theatre education and mentor experience as the cast includes not only members of the Indy professional acting community, but also teens who attained the roles through an open audition. Throughout the rehearsal process and performances, the teens work closely with the professional cast and learn alongside them.
for additional information, please email [email protected]

Scary Mary, A Poppins Parody, is a wildly funny and lightly creepy retelling of the most famous nanny with an umbrella. With dour musical numbers and somber dancing, the cast tells the story in a new light (or darkness) using touches of scary stories, horror classics, and spooky songs to guide the way. (suitable for all ages, the horror and scary references are for comic effect only and not in the least bit actually scary.... OR ARE THEY?!?!?! no they’re not..... BUT.....)
One more weekend to see the show folks are saying is "hilarious", "super fun", "charming", and "wildly entertaining"...
Thurs -Sunday!
