Our recent mental health workshop with the amazing Hazel Owens, MDiv., LMFT, was a great success! Attendees learned about the importance of rest, self-care and soul care, and took time to recharge through interactive practices. The kids did fun guided art activities to boost their self-esteem while their parents were busy. It was a relaxing and reinvigorating time for everyone! Thanks to our partners Indianapolis Urban League and Anitra Jenelle - AJ Harris for making this possible. Remember, rest and self-care aren’t luxuries – they’re essentials.

Jared and his friends Justin, Erika and Theron organized an amazing field day for our kids during summer camp! They grilled lunch in the park, jumped in the pool, played games and served as great role models for our youngest survivors.
All summer long the Coburn Place kids participated in regular equine therapy. They learned how to ride, feed and groom horses. Many of the children were nervous at first, but became real equestrians by the end of camp. Thank you, Agape Therapeutic Riding Resources, for opening a new world to our youngest survivors!
Our friends at Target collected $135 in quarters for survivors' laundry needs and helped clean up around the building. Thanks for keeping us fresh!
Mary is our resident green thumb! Mary helps survivors maintain our outdoor patio, playground and veggie garden. Her dedication overpowers the summer sun, and her gardening skills make Coburn Place a beautiful place to live.
The Coburn Place community garden is thriving and producing veggies! We have cherry tomatoes, peppers, basil, green beans and more available for survivors whenever they need some fresh food.
Back-to-School Night was a huge success! The kids picked out new backpacks, shoes, clothes, supplies and more. Adult survivors connected with community partners and learned about their resources. And everyone enjoyed some tasty grub. Thanks to your tremendous support, our youngest survivors are fully prepared to take on the new academic year with confidence. 💜
Summer Camp is over, but the memories will play on forever! The kids competed in Olympic-themed games, took tennis lessons, went on fun trips and made new friends – they didn’t want it to end! Thank you to everyone who helped make these memories possible. It's so important for kids to have the opportunity to be kids. Best summer ever! 💜
