Ever have season where life feels like formless void? Or where chaos is in the lead?
Tomorrow we are beginning our summer series on Genesis. We will look at these stories and gems of wisdom they contain!
Sunday School will also be intergenerational art. We will do some of our creating from chaos! Kids and Adults welcome at 9:30am.
(PS we know art makes people anxious- no need for artxiety- nothing needs to look good or be worthy of a show it's just for fun!)
For the kiddos...

And so here is a quote from Howard Thurman - perhaps answering this question.
Tomorrow's Message:
Ash Wednesday & Valentines Day: Maybe they have more in common than we think?
Here's some inspo reading.
Perspective | True love is beautiful but hard. Ash Wednesday makes this Valentine’s Day accurate. Jewels and roses do not offer a realistic picture of romance.

Hi all, our meeting for worship and monthly meeting for business are both cancelled for tomorrow.
We will meet again next week for worship and our meeting for business will be next week as well.
Don't forget Quaker Women (USFW) will meet on Wednesday at 10am at the Meetinghouse.
And lets pray for our homeless neighbors, our neighbors who are worried about paying for energy bills and all who are suffering in the extreme cold.
Let's discuss resolutions!
We will have Sunday School/Discussion about this article on January 7 at 9:30am in our Sunday School room (in the annex doors, to the left and at the end of the hallway).
We will chat about this article (you do have to login but not pay). If you want a paper copy you can pick one up at the Meetinghouse.

May this season be one of joy and peace for you! We are fortunate that you're our neighbor.
We are a small contemplative Quaker faith community here in Decatur. As a community rooted in the Christian tradition, we prioritize simplicity, peace, integrity, community, equality and stewardship.
However you celebrate and gather, we hope you have a wonderful holiday season.
"I will light candles this Christmas.
Candles of joy, despite all the sadness.
Candles of hope where despair keeps watch.
Candles of courage where fear is ever present.
Candles of peace for tempest-tossed days.
Candles of grace to ease heavy burdens.
Candles of love to inspire all of my living.
Candles that will burn all the year long. "
