Our sincerest condolences go to the family and friends of Deputy Fred Fislar.

It is with deep sadness that we must inform our community of the passing of Deputy Fred Fislar. Last night, Deputy Fislar responded to a motor vehicle crash near Plainfield and came into contact with down power lines. Deputy Fislar was transported to Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition where he later succumbed to his injuries.
We are working on gathering resources to support our employees as we grieve and work our way through this tragic loss.
Please keep our brother, Deputy Fred Fislar, his family and our law enforcement family in your thoughts and prayers.

What a week it's been in our city. In addition to the 1,993 calls to service (so far) we celebrated our medical director being named to the IBJ's Forty Under 40 and, oh yeah, there was an eclipse. Congratulations to Indianapolis EMS medical director, Dr. Mark Liao for being named to Indianapolis Business Journal Forty Under 40 Class of 2024.

2024 Forty Under 40: Dr. Mark Liao - Indianapolis Business Journal Dr. Mark Liao is the city’s 911 ambulance service medical director, an emergency medicine physician at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital and a major in the U.S. Army Reserves.
