This is me being overwhelmed- not necessarily with orders, just with life in general. If you pre-ordered a Community Cats for Kamala shirt or other shirts or items, I was hoping to have everything ready by Friday, but it’s going to be Tuesday or Wednesday next week. Shipping hiccups with things coming to me have me behind and so does a touch of utter exhaustion. Thanks for understanding!

I have been working on a few ideas for shirts. One features our sweet Cheeto- maybe you’ve met him at Stomping Ground?- and the other is something I saw in a meme but I couldn’t get it out of my head. And so here is what I have to offer at the moment! Pre-orders are open and shirts will be ready a week from Friday if not sooner. Local friends can, as always, use the code PORCHPICKUP to skip the ship. If you use the code you must be able to pick up your shirt at during regular business hours!

Prepping for Small Business Saturday on the Near Eastside!

Day two of is here! Come find me upstairs along the back wall, now until 4pm! I have two new shirts you can wear around town to show your support for the LGBTQ 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️community! A perfect opportunity to show your pride or wear it to show support for your friends and neighbors.

This weekend I am at my only holiday market this season! I am very excited to get out there and rep and Saturday AND Sunday. This week I am working on a couple of new designs just for Bloomington! A little update on what’s going on around here these days with Sunday Afternoon Housewife.

First of all, I’ll be at Bloomington Handmade Market this weekend and I’m very excited! I have a few new designs I’ll be sharing later this week.

What else is new?

I recently invested in a new press so I can make shirts that look like these 👇🏽.

The process is called DTF transfer and I can do all kinds of colorful images. For a really long time people have asked me to do custom work and only wanted a few shirts or shirts with many colors- and silkscreen is not the process for multi-color, low quantity printing, but guess what? DTF is! For a long time I avoided anything similar to this because I did not like the quality or feel and did not want to compromise my quality or brand, but DTF is lightweight and has a soft hand feel just like silk-screen. It has great durability, prints in full color and can contain special effects, fades, shadows, shading and photographic images within the artwork- and best of all, there isn’t a minimum order.

From the beginning Sunday Afternoon Housewife and its sister business have worked intentionally to create a space in , in our community, where all people feel welcome. As a business which has spent the last 13+ years in the community at events like , , , , and more, I know first had the power a message of acceptance can have. Time and time again I have experienced LGBTQ community members and their parents and teachers enter my booth and thank me for having something that makes them feel welcome. Teachers purchase handfuls of We Like You Here buttons to show support to their students, parents buy rainbow tee shirts for themselves and their children. Teens and young adults are drawn to the Transgender Indiana Flag tee over and over because they see the place they live and hope and wish for acceptance. For many years I have used my business to donate to LGBTQ causes and my platform to support it. Today is no different.

Today I am appealing to our state leaders to say NO to HB1609, SB 480, SB 12, HB 1569 and HB1407. These bills target the LGBTQ community, both adults and children, their parents, teachers and librarians and even their health care providers.

I agree with fellow local business leaders including , , and more-this is not how supports the small businesses that support their community. It’s shameful that and the are so willing to attack versus protect their citizens. The business community and the majority of your constituents are not asking for these bills.

I encourage you to lean about these bills and contact your state leaders at aclu-in.org/slateofhate and if you are able, join the today at noon at the Statehouse to protest these bills.
