In October 2023, McKenzie Souder from Denmark FFA in Georgia excelled in the updated veterinary science career development event (CDE) at the National FFA Convention & Expo. At the start of the past school year, Hopkinsville High School freshman Madelin Macario quietly approached Hopkinsville FFA Chapter advisor Julie Gilliam with a hesitant question.

β€œMadelin said her English wasn’t very good and wondered if FFA would be something good for her to join,” Gilliam recalls. β€œIt touched my heart to think that because someone’s English isn’t very good, they’d think they couldn’t be a part of something.” πŸ’™πŸ’›
