Every once in a while I have the opportunity to really make some images that are extra, extra special, these are an example. I loved documenting the connection between Kameron and his mom, Amanda.
Here’s a little bit about Kam in his mom’s words…
“Kam is a 7 year old, handsome little boy who happens to have a fatal disorder (homozygous acute intermittent porphyria). He is nonverbal and confined to a wheelchair.
Kam’s disorder is a thief of time, strength, awareness but the most significant loss, Kam’s expressions; but sometimes, just sometimes, Kam shines through his disorder and lets a little grin through.
Kam is slipping away from me more and more each day; some days are good and some days are treacherous; but rather than focusing on his best days have past, we chose to enjoy today and look for any silver linings.
We appreciate yesterday, we are grateful for today and we are hopeful for tomorrow.”
