Realtor® with Lepic Kroeger, Realtors ~ Licensed to sell real estate in the state of Iowa.
DOICS: Today I had the pleasure of driving to Waterloo with some friends and helping them connect with their childhood home. It’s not everyday you get to walk down memory lane and relive a families childhood with them. These mid century doors hold so many memories!
Sunday Pagliais pizza pick up was a must! Woody is keeping the pizza safe and sound for the ride home.
DOICS: These doors were a treat to pass through today. Lovely old house with such charm! Such incredible possibility in this one!
Let the St. Burch Oyster Fest 2024 begin! Shenanigans ensue!
Today Woody learned about swapping out sign riders when the status changes on a home. This one lets everyone know all contingencies are released and we are getting close to closing!!
Costco visit procured more than fruit and queso dip. Life lesson messages come in many forms! Nice little jolt to my day to bring it back into perspective!!
Woody’s first day involved learning about taxes and receipts. We’re diving right in. 💸💸👋🏼👋🏼
Scooped up Woody yesterday from a free pile on a curb! Let the new adventure - as a realtor’s assistant - begin!! Woody sightings coming soon!
DOICS: Sometimes you get to list a house that has some very interesting aspects. This week I was fortunate enough to list a 1970s one owner family home that has some spectacular colors. This is original paint on these doors from 1974. This home was so well cared for that. All of these doors were in amazing shape. Every bedroom had a different color on the inside of the door and all the closets had colorful doors. It was really a showstopper for doors!
It was such a pleasure to host this month’s first round at the University of Iowa Museum of Natural History. It was a lovely evening with fantastic speakers Kirsten Krump Baele and Peter Gerlach and moderated by my husband, David Bright.
First Round events are a fantastic opportunity to learn more about our community spaces, recognize community members for their accomplishments and contributions, and share evening with people you may know and meet new friends. I hope you can find yourself at one of these events on the third Wednesday of every month.
Come to the beautiful University of Iowa Museum of Natural History on Wednesday, August 21st for First Round! Home of Rusty the Giant Sloth, the museum is worth the visit.
Peter Gerlach, Executive Director of the Iowa City Foreign Relations Council, will be joined by Kirsten Lump Baele, Director of the Anne Frank Initiative, for this month's conversation.
This August, your is free on me - Heather Bright, Realtor! Come on over!!
I don’t know why but tonight we have a stage 4 clinger?!
This one had Camp Wapsie all over it! From a chance meeting in 2004 at Camp Wapsie to several staff reunions to a reconnection to assist in the sale of this lovely Moffitt from one Wapsie friend to another last fall and then the eventual flip!
My clients/friends/Camp Wapsie family all worked together (as we always do!) towards a fantastic flip and a full price sale in a slower market.
This right here is yet another reason I became a realtor! I want to be of service to my community, my friends, my clients - Connecting people, elevating their real estate experience and ultimately being informed, involved and included in their process! My heart is full! 🔑🚪🏡❤️
Perspective is everything. Today I had an opportunity to show a home made from a 1900s barn. It’s unique and interesting and rustic. I mention perspective because over the last 3 to 12 months, the real estate market has shifted. A year ago one would recognize the market to be a sellers market but today, with interest rates still hovering around 5 1/2 to 6%, a buyer’s impulse on whether or not to make an offer is no longer as quick or easy. Money is no longer cheap like it was a few years ago. This has given pause to the way buyers react to properties and much of that comes from a financial perspective on a buyer is willing to give today today.
Understanding and knowing that the market has shifted and how it has shifted is so important i. how you approach the market today!
It was a Vanna kind of day. Trip to the dump Goodwill, moving around staging items and some lunch with a friend. It’s good to stay busy.
This one had quite a few hurdles to jump and last minute twists and turns - but I am so proud to say that I assisted my seller in closing on this fantastic location multi-unit building. This one had been in the same family (multi generational) since 1939 and the keys passed yesterday to a new owner for hopefully another 85 years!! Congrats to all and thanks to Jeff Edberg, Hawkeye Title and the amazing closing dept at LKR for all of your help with the final steps! It takes a village sometimes! 🚪🏡❤️🔑
DOICS: Colorado Edition: Sent to me from a fellow realtor on vacay from The mountains of Colorado! She really knew how to pick a good one! From the rain barrel by the front door to the light fixture with a bear on it, neatly attached to a log cabin, of course. She didn’t even have to tell me where she was - having spent tons of time in Colorado with my family! I can hear the John Denver coming through that screen door!
National Ice Cream Day is Sunday! Did you know Deluxe Bakery has soft serve and several amazing ice cream menu items! One of my favorite places to eat and have a cool treat!! Try it for yourself!!
On The Hook Fish and Chips today in the Hills Bank parking lot in North Liberty!! Fast and delish!! Come get some! 11 am - 7 pm!
So long London!! Thanks for a fantastic trip - so much to see - so much to experience! 🇬🇧❤️🇫🇷❤️
Sully is as tall as Big Ben!!
For those that don’t know - I am half Greek - maiden name Lasko. Live it when I find funny Greek signs or stores or Gods here or there. Always take the time for a Greek pic!
The unfinished square footage of the battlements at Tower of London 😂😂
Let the shenanigans begin!
Off to 🇬🇧 & 🇫🇷. Get ready for pic dump!!

Ashton came back to Cedar Rapids and waited in a convenience store for me just to wish me happy birthday today. Thanks dude! 😂😂
DOICS: What started as a simple stop to ask about firewood grew into helping these wonderful new friends as they transitioned from Iowa City to Arizona!
Flash forward and some other new friends from Knoxville decide to move to Iowa City and BOOM - the stars aligned!
New beginnings for all and smooth transitions continue to happen!
Congrats to my buyers and sellers! Another door opened and closed!
What doors are you opening today?
