Tru Coffee

As today approached, I found myself uncertain about how to express this, but after three incredible years in Iowa City, we’ve made the difficult decision that our time on North Linn St. has come to end. The future of Tru Coffee remains uncertain, but for now, we’re pausing to rest and reflect.

We’re incredibly thankful for the support of the community throughout the years. Without it, we wouldn’t have been able to pursue our passion. As we look back on the memories we’ve made—the laughter among our baristas, the special events we’ve hosted, and all the conversations and connections over coffee—we’re filled with gratitude for this experience.

We are opening back up the week of 8/7. We will be operating under new management and we have some exciting new things are on the horizon.

We are so excited for this new food menu brought to you by our friends, Molly & Connor from . The full menu will be available starting tomorrow morning and will be served until close, daily.

They have spent countless hours curating this menu and we hope there is a little something for everyone. We can’t wait for you to try all the new eats 😋

✨UPDATE ✨

Alright friends we’ve got a few updates for you-
Our temporary summer hours will be 7am-3pm M-F
8am-2pm Saturday
We will be operating with a smaller staff for the summer so we just need to make a few minor adjustments.

Another larger update- our kitchen will be closed all day Tuesday, June 13th for some updates and will open back up June 14th and will be under full operation of . We are very excited for this transition! Nomadic foods will be keeping some of the crowd favorites and will be expanding our food options beyond just breakfast, we will now be offering lunch items as well. We are so excited to run along side such awesome people.

Both & will be together at this Sunday from 11am-3pm so come check us out for a little teaser of what’s to come🫶

It is absolutely so hard to believe we opened our doors to the public two years ago today. We are so thankful for this community that has supported us through so many changes and we couldn’t be more thankful. We absolutely love the Northside and we are happy this is our home 🥹
