DFW, June 20, 2024/ Irving Everest Centennial Lions Club (IECLC) has donated NRs.50,000 each to two different children in Nepal who have been diagnosed with cancer. Revyan Khadgi a 2.5 year old boy was presented with a NRs.50,000 donation and Drishti Bohara a 10 year old girl with a NRs.50,000 donation. Both have been battling bone marrow cancer and blood cancer for a while. Both of them are receiving treatment in Kathmandu.
As part of Lions Club International's Childhood Cancer cause, the Club has supported these children. The Club raised funds during its Childhood Cancer Awareness program in March from Lions members and community well-wishers. With respect to the Cancer context raised by the club, the Kamal Sharma Foundation has greatly supported and participated in the awareness program. The true social activist Kamal Sharma died from cancer only last year in Dallas, TX.
In their difficult time, a small donation can help cover some medical expenses and provide some relief to the suffering children.
Irving Everest Centennial Lions Club, who spearheaded the campaign, expressed gratitude towards the community’s generosity. “This contribution is a testament to the strength and compassion of our community. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.”
Since 2018, Irving Everest Centennial Lions Club has been serving the local and global community. IECLC's Lion Jen Shrestha has reached out and coordinated the victims for this support in Nepal.
With Lions District 2-X1 – we just got recognized as one of their rising fans! 🎉
I would like to congratulate to all IECLC participants to the District Lions University training today at Region 10, Richardson TC.
