Our Greenhouse and Floral design students had the best time at the Dallas Arboretum and YC Nursery! We got to learn so much about the plant science industry while appreciating all that the plant science workers to do bring us beautiful flowers and product.

Just wanted to take a moment and appreciate our floral design classes who are working so hard in getting banquets prepared to celebrate this year with gorgeous arrangements along with some flower of the month creations!

These past couple weeks, the Ranchview FFA has been in CDE competition mode!

🥛Dairy Farm Field Trip🐄

Our Principles of Ag students got to visit a dairy farm today with our culinary students to explore the farm to fork experience in the dairy cattle world!

February got Ranchview AG on their feet!! Who doesn’t love rabbits and Texas FFA?!

🌸🐰RHS held their first ever Daddy Daughter Dance and we are so thrilled to have been part of the experience bringing our floral creations and some fluffy friends, Lucy and Legacy!

🏀We got to celebrate our outstanding seniors on senior night. Shout out to Jamyah Williams and Asia Garrett on a great season!

🌽Texas FFA made a stop at Ranchview where we got to gain leadership knowledge and learn more about the FFA!

The RHS Agriculture Department is so THRILLED to announce that the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD Educational Foundation has selected our program to receive a grant of $5000 to expand our greenhouse spaces and flourish in the plant science industry. This will be going towards new raised beds and a hoop house right on campus.

We are so excited about this program and the growth it has made since starting up last year. Thank you so much Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD Educational Foundation for supporting our kids and the future of agriculture!

The secret is out! 🤫 🥰 Thanks to our amazing donors, reviewers and volunteers, the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD Educational Foundation awarded recipients from schools and departments throughout Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District totaling $34,534 that will be used for innovative programs and projects.

JR Spanish Creed Speaking- 7th place

We may not have walked away with a banner today, but we are so extremely proud of the hard work Laura has put into this contest. Way to go Laura!

⭐️Last week, we had our District 7 LDEs take place, where we had 6 of our students compete. ⭐️

Looking forward to our Greenhand Spanish Creed Speaker competing at the Area V contest on Friday, November 17th.

We are so proud of these kids and the hard work they have put into these contests. Way to go Ranchview FFA!

🎃Our FFA members came out to showcase their art abilities by painting some FINE looking pumpkins at our October meeting.

👻We had some scary fun costumes on Halloween walk through our classroom and hallways.

🌼Our first Flower of the Month arrangement went out to our subscribers!

District LDE contests are coming up Wednesday, so be sure to tell your fellow FFA members competing a big GOODLUCK!

✨Oh me, oh my, how these weeks have just FLOWN BY!!! ✨

In September for agriculture, we stay busy! As we begin to work towards a fun year getting hands-on with our education, we had to start at the basics.

🐮In principles we completed our presentations on our POA ideas to add to our classroom curriculum throughout our learning journey! These are fun calendar events to bring some 🌶spice🌶 to our learning grounds.

🌸In floral design, we had the CUTEST displays of shoe box floral shops to wrap up our time in the career unit! Of course we got to wrap up September working on mums!

💐In advanced floral, we were all about that MUM👏🏼✨ and now getting into our floral subscriptions!

🌱In greenhouse, we are striving to learn about greenhouse structures after wrapping up some fantastic career presentations.

🌽Of course we CANNOT forget about the FFA! For our first meeting we had 32 wonderful individuals show up to get a SCOOP on the FFA! We had a wonderful time making ice cream and sharing information about the FFA.

👩🏾‍⚖️🧑🏼‍⚖️👩🏽‍⚖️Our FFA officers took part in the fall district 7 meeting, where they mingled with others and learned more about their FFA neighbors.

We have had an exciting month and are ready to take on October as fall competitions start up!

In the agriculture department, we are having a blast getting to know each other and reuniting with familiar faces! From planting seeds in our personal “greenhouses” to making a statement with homemade brands, these agriculture kids are ready to learn and flourish in their classes.

Glad to start a new year, we are going to make it a great one wolves💙🐺🤍
