Self-talk is powerful. We can use this tool to direct our souls to Bless the Lord. It’s “Hey soul, cry out the goodness and worthiness and wonder of God. Kneel before Him. Praise Him. Hey soul, Bless the Lord. And all that is within me, all that I am, every emotion, feeling, all my love and fears and anxiety, thoughts and everything that makes me who I am – praise the Lord, Bless the Lord. Bless His Holy Name.
When we do, we begin to understand the key to inner peace. When I praise God and bless his Holy Name, my physical ailments are put into perspective. When I praise God and bless his Holy name, my emotional and relational needs are met. When I’m loved by God, I’m loved. When I’m blessing his Holy name, the effects of moral failure are put on the cross. When I’m praising God, I have no fear of death and death for my loved ones in Christ. We’re all going to heaven.
Bless the Lord, O my soul, so you, my soul, can find peace in the only one who can give rest to my soul.

Our Home in Heaven | Heaven... Can't Wait Series - 6.23.24
Focus your energy on what will last. Every second of your life has eternal implications. Every decision. Every thought. Every action. Every word. Every attitude. Every feeling. Every kindness. Every sin. Everything has eternal implications. God is watching. You need to ask, “Will this last?”
One of the great fallacies of the Christian life is the belief that we need to get things right with God so we can experience His power and presence after we die, in the here and then. The unaccounted-for truth is that we need to get things right with God so we can experience His presence and power in the there and then AND in the here and now.
—Colossians 3:2 (NLT) - Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

Stop wasting your life on stuff that doesn't matter - Reading things that don't matter, watching things that don't matter, listening to things that don't matter, talking about things that don't matter. Start living for things that last. Know what lasts and know what doesn't last and invest your life in the things that last forever. Only what's done for Christ will last forever.

2 Corinthians 5:17 || Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Romans 6:4 || Therefore we have been buried with him through baptism into death, in order that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so also we may live a new way of life.

This is a shout-out to Cynthia, our sister-in-Christ, who was baptized this past Sunday. May the Lord grant you wisdom and peace as you walk with Jesus.
“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit (Jeremiah 17:7-8).
At CHRIST Church, Child Dedication is a special day on which our parents commit to raising their kids in a home centered on Jesus, and our church commits to be WITH them and FOR them—We stand with them, walk alongside them, and pray for them.
Congratulations to our Sister-in-Christ! Made new, set free, completely forgiven; Daughter of the Most High. May the Lord work His beauty and purpose in and through her to His glory.

Today is a day of great joy and thankfulness for some and a day of great pain and grief for others. Here is a prayer for today by Amy Young that covers the wide spectrum of mothering.
To those who gave birth this year to their first child—we celebrate with you
To those who lost a child this year – we mourn with you
To those who are in the trenches with little ones every day and wear the badge of food stains – we appreciate you
To those who experienced loss through miscarriage, failed adoptions, or running away—we mourn with you
To those who walk the hard path of infertility, fraught with pokes, prods, tears, and disappointment – we walk with you. Forgive us when we say foolish things. We don’t mean to make this harder than it is.
To those who are foster moms, mentor moms, and spiritual moms – we need you
To those who have warm and close relationships with your children – we celebrate with you
To those who have disappointment, heart ache, and distance with your children – we sit with you
To those who lost their mothers this year – we grieve with you
To those who experienced abuse at the hands of your own mother – we acknowledge your experience
To those who lived through driving tests, medical tests, and the overall testing of motherhood – we are better for having you in our midst
To those who are single and long to be married and mothering your own children – we mourn that life has not turned out the way you longed for it to be
To those who step-parent – we walk with you on these complex paths
To those who envisioned lavishing love on grandchildren -yet that dream is not to be, we grieve with you
To those who will have emptier nests in the upcoming year – we grieve and rejoice with you
To those who placed children up for adoption — we commend you for your selflessness and remember how you hold that child in your heart
And to those who are pregnant with new life, both expected and surprising –we anticipate with you
This Mother’s Day, we walk with you. Mothering is not for the faint of heart and we have real warriors in our midst. We remember you.
