Please congratulate Nancy, PT, for being awarded one of this quarter's heroes!
Nancy approaches every family she encounters with respect and thoughtfulness. She embraces a variety of cultural practices and skillfully enhances therapy sessions by maximizing the growth and progress seen in the individuals. In the last eight months, she has had the highest number of individuals discharged due to goals met. This can only be achieved through high levels of familial buy-in, empowerment, and mutual understanding. She establishes quick rapport, builds lasting relationships with individuals served, and celebrates alongside them with every new milestone they meet!

Please congratulate Sheila, Speech Pathologist Assistant on being one of this quarter's heroes!
Sheila has been an exceptional addition to our team since starting this past fall. She quickly meshed well with the people we serve, their families, and her team. She clearly communicates her needs and possible hurdles throughout each month. Sheila has been flexible when taking on new referrals. We are so thankful to have her on the team!
Today, we celebrate America’s independence! Home of the free because of the brave. Wishing everyone a safe and happy 4th of July!
Getting fresh air with your child this summer can be a wonderful way to strengthen the bonds you have with them. Here are some outdoor activities you can try!
- Play with sidewalk chalk! Allow your child to be creative when creating their artwork
- Create sensory bins with items of different textures
- Go on a nature walk! Nature walks are a great way to get exercise while exploring nature in your area
It's the First Day of Summer! We hope you and your family are able to get outdoors and enjoy the weather.

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and their families.
Happy Friday! From our PT Team Lead Whitney - Go Team Sage Care.
We are jumping for joy today!
First and foremost, it’s the last Friday of the school year!
Secondly, it’s Career Day and my 6yo chose to be a Physical Therapist!
I asked him why he chose this career and he said, “because I want to be like you!” (Quick pause while I wipe my tears to keep them from falling into my coffee).
But then he said, in his sweetest little 6yo voice, that he wanted to help kids so everyone had the chance to play.
And there it is. That’s why we do what we do.
Every kiddo should have the opportunity to play. When they can’t do it on their own, that’s where we come in. We teach, we modify, we engage, and we play!!
There is nothing more sweet or more pure than the joy on a child’s face when they’re actively and authentically playing.
Today, we would like to wish an extra special Mother’s Day to all the mother figures in our lives and the lives of those we serve for inspiring growth and love. Happy !

Josh, an individual served at our Sage Care program, loved wrestling from a young age. He is passionate about the sport and desires to attend as many wrestling events as possible. Josh is a light to all of those around him, especially during his therapy sessions. Our therapy team works with Josh on speech, strengthening, stretching, and wheelchair management skills, all while discussing wrestling topics. Josh mentioned his passion for getting into the ring, so our team incorporated functional wrestling skills into Josh's therapy sessions.
Josh was able to live out his biggest dream and show off his wrestling moves in the ring at the Texas Style Wrestling match. After a hard-fought battle, Josh took down his opponent, utilizing all the wrestling moves he’s learned through the years while watching live and during his therapy sessions. Josh, The Weatherman, was awarded the championship belt for his valiant efforts. Josh is an inspiration to us all!

Please help congratulate Elizabeth, Physical Therapist Assistant at our Sage Care program in Texas, for being awarded as one of this quarter's Heroes!
Liz goes above and beyond caring for children in the program. While treating a child following an accident, she noticed something was wrong in her gut. She asked the family to get a second opinion and advocated for additional imaging. His new care team made a proper diagnosis. Because of this attention to detail and medical care, his family is now happy to report that it’s like “seeing a whole new kid.” He is pain-free, active, and participating in play as every three-year-old should. Thanks for all you do, Liz!
