In honor of Lieutenant Michael Murphy:

Lt. Murphy lost his life leading a SEAL team through Afghanistan in 2005. He, along with many other fallen heroes, sacrificed his life in service of this country. It is an honor to come together as a community and participate in such a meaningful workout ❤️🤍💙

Meet Stacie! Long time member at CFI West who is now coaching our Youth Strength & Conditioning classes! A little about her philosophy:
“Getting involved with youth strength and conditioning stems from 10 years of coaching girls basketball and teaching high school students. I've seen countless season-ending or career-ending injuries that I truly believe could be prevented by being stronger and committing to a basic strength program. Additionally, kids are training more often and even more specifically, increasing risk of injury. Replacing just one day of sport specific training with strength and conditioning will vastly improve any sport performance and lower chances of injury. Furthermore, the benefits of improving kids' physical well-being directly correlates with better mental health and development. Post pandemic, kids need to recommit and learn how to live a holistically healthy lifestyle as both an athlete and person. Working out in a group environment promotes comradery, competition and support from both coaches and peers. I'm excited to pair my passion for fitness and kids. My goal is for them to find pride in their progress from putting in the work, and having fun while doing it!”
