Even though the weather is a little bit cooler, staying hydrated is hugely important. Start by increasing your water intake by just one glass a day, and gradually up it every day or so. If you wait until you're thirsty to drink, you're already dehydrated!
Wanna get a great weekend workout, but don't wanna spend a fortune and use up the whole day? Go on an early morning hike! They're right in our backyard and are a great way to work up a sweat! We did Little Si (4.5 miles up and back - 3 hours total) this morning, and it was fantastic. We were back home by 11:30, with an entire weekend day left for us to relax!
When you get a sugar craving, all your body is saying is, "I WANT SUGAR!" It doesn't specify where it wants it to come from and in what amount.
So, the next time you get a sweet tooth, try eating a small orange or a couple pieces of pineapple and see how you feel after five minutes.
Got a wall? Wall sits.
Got a step? Calf raises.

Wake up 30-40 minutes early just once this week and go for a walk. It can be on a trail, through your neighborhood, or even to Starbucks! Just get outside and get moving when it's nice and cool! You won't regret it!
