Our Ph.D. students and Dr. Salazar enthusiastically demonstrated STEM activities during the fourth day of SMILE U, in which the participants performed hands-on science experiments such as medicine delivery systems, replica technique, and orthopedic implants. What a team!
Summer school for these kids means lessons in dentistry The Medical Center’s School of Dentistry is providing an experience for young scholars who may have never had the chance to speak with dental professionals and see first-hand what the job entails. S.M.I.L.E. U is giving kids in grades 5-8 that opportunity through hands-on, fun activities designed ...
During SMILE U, Dr. Griggs led a fun STEM Enrichment session about 'Probability'. Students had their first encounter with probability as they developed their understanding of probability by calculating theoretical probabilities and designing and running their own simulations.
More about the amazing summer semester that has not ended yet!
On June 5-9, BMS faculty members Dr. Griggs and Dr. Salazar, Ph.D. students, and BMS postdoctoral fellow participated in two sessions of the unique program SMILE U, which stands for Shaping Minds to Inspire, Lead, and Explore.
