Birth Choice Annual Walk for Life Oct. 5 Birth Choice will hold its annual Walk for Life on Saturday, October 5th at 9 a.m. at West Jackson Baptist Church.

The concert will faeture vocalist Jamille "Jam" Hunter and saxophoniist Don Aliquo. Hunter will perform from her CD "Sassy Returns," a tribute to Sarah Vaughn and Aliquo will play John Coltrane 1961, a year that was instrumental in the development of the now icon jazz musician.

34th Annual African Street Festival Returns to Jackson Labor Day Weekend Aug. 30 – Sept. 1 The Society for African American Cultural Awareness (SAACA) is excited to announce the return of the 34th Annual African Street Festival, taking place Labor Day Weekend from August 30th to September 1st, 2024, at the TR White Sportsplex, located at 304 N Hays Avenue, Jackson, Tennessee, 38301.

At 4 p.m., Carnival Bracelets are $25 and includes $5 food and game credit.

The Lil' Tykes Power Wheels Dmolition Derby will be held at 6 p.m. at the Arena.

At 7 p.m., Four Docs and a Jock will be on the Main Stage, while the Domlition Derby at the Arena, $10 admission per person for ages 6 and over.
