City of Jacksonville unveils 2024 ‘Stay Cool Jax’ plan to combat heat The City of Jacksonville unveiled its 2024 Cooling Center Contingency Plan, called “Stay Cool Jax,” a critical component of the city’s efforts to safeguard public health during periods of extreme heat.

Large hospitals and "big corporate medicine" do serve some of the community's healthcare needs, such as conditions requiring inpatient hospitalizations, but to charge exorbitant "facilities fees" for routine outpatient services does not seem right.
