This was done in only 8 hours!
Sometimes a full rewire doesn't make economic sense, or is out of the customers budget. So we end up doing lots of "clean ups", in whatever time a budget allows.
This one demonstrates a pretty dramatic difference in the console wiring, for only having an 8 hour budget for the job.
The two ends of the spectrum we offer:
"Full rewire"-
Replace the entire electrical system from custom scratch, designed for its best. This always comes out amazing, world class at Boattronics.
"Clean up" -
Make the biggest difference possible in the rigging, based on whatever time the customer can budget. Problems are attacked in priority. Things are organized, useless rigging is removed. Miracles can't be expected, but we will explain realistic expectations to you based on time given.
Example. 8 hrs in most skiffs and flats boats can make a huge difference. But only a few hours can probably at least fix most of the issues if not all in the electrical system.
A larger center console may only need a few hours to fix a few issues, or a day or two could make a huge difference in all of its rigging. This is what an 8 hour budget did in this Key West. It's not our typical world class full rewire, but it's one hell of a make over, for only $1200. Book yours today!

We are almost finished with the most advanced, highest performing battery management system ever installed in a bay boat! Starting with the patent pending Boattronics POWERHOUSE, which allows you to instantly change your 36v battery bank to 12v, in parrelel with your house battery for the ultimate house bank. Charges on the run, equalizes all batteries with every charge, and has an insane capability to deliver monstrous power to your crazy stereo system.
Then we have the Egis Mobile Electric triple switch and acr replacement, all in one remotely controlled unit. Next is the Victron Energy battery monitor which will show us voltages, amperage, state of charge, etc, all remotely on your device.
Let's don't forget the bank of 4 Dakota lithium 135ah batteries, that can instantly be combined for a staggering 4000 cranking amps and 540 amp hours, the equivalent of over TEN 80lb 100ah agm batteries! This system will soon be on demo at Boattronics every day for you to come see it and believe it, along with what we believe is the loudest 6 speaker stereo system ever put in a boat. We want to put you in the boat, and judge for yourself!
Constant research of the latest products have led us to Egis. We've been using these products for over a year now with zero failures. Check out my quick explanation of some of my favorites, including one new product that we are the very first company to receive!

We currently have 5 different boats waiting for tank swaps, before we can do a full overhaul. We dont do glass in house. But we can do all the cutting, replacement of the tanks, plumbing, etc, all we need is for you to re-seam the floors and glass the console, then lay down beautiful non skid. You must be dependable with high quality work, stand behind your price and deadline, and show me examples of this work you have done in the past, and I will have a constant supply of work for you.
One of 5 overhauls being delivered today is this absolutely stunning 27 Contender! This is Birdsalls new console/top/leaning post combo that is absolutely GORGEOUS! You may have seen it this year at the Miami boat show. In this photo, you see my setup of 4 different devices used to navigate safely in the dark. I'm going to discuss the differences after running them side by side for over a year. This is an unbiased, honest review of my experience with each one of them.
Black Oak Nitron- This low light camera comes in at $4000, and here's what you get. An IP69K black and white camera that can withstand heavy spray and handle immersion in water up to 3 feet for over 60 hours. Not that you would do that, but it gives you an idea of how amazingly robust they are. It's rock solid image displays in real time, and it never blinks or freezes no matter how rough the seas get. Its by far the most sensitive in low light. The image is zoomed further out, but has a more narrow field of view than the Sionyx. In my opinion, it's worth every penny, and is my favorite low light camera.
Sionyx Nightwave- Coming in at only $1900, you can't beat the price of this camera. It's rated at IP67. They advertise this as a "color" low light camera, but I don't always agree with that. Before the sun has even completely set, you will have already lost color when offshore. Inshore however, there is usually enough light to keep it color after sunset as long as there is plenty of city or residential lighting around. In the hand, you can feel stuff moving around loose in the camera, which is probably why it looses it's image and blinks out when hitting hard in heavy seas. The image lags about a second behind real time, and sometimes briefly freezes. But at half the price of the Nitron, I think it's also worth every penny.
Flir M232- The M232 comes in at about $2100. It is not a low light camera, it is a thermal camera. This takes some getting used to, unless you are the Predator. I don't consider this a good camera choice for navigating at night because of this. However, it shines over the others in search and rescue. A person in the water will stand out from far away like a sore thumb, assuming their temperature is different from the water temp. Flir makes "dual payload" cameras that combine infrared and thermal together for amazing imagery, but you could buy a small car for the price. For search and rescue, you can't beat this camera at this price.
Simrad 3006 radar- If it gets foggy or storms, none of the cameras can see through it at all, and thats why radar is extremely important and should be first choice for collision avoidance at night. I truly believe this is an upgrade over the 10kw magnetron radar I had before it, ESPECIALLY for the novice user. Right out of the box, you can mark individual birds several miles away. It's all digital, so there is no tedious tuning necessary. Previously with the mag radar, the radar was only as good as the person tuning it. It also has several modes you can select, from harbor, to offshore, bird and bird plus modes. I've been extremely impressed by this radar, but at approximately $9k, you will pay a pretty penny for it.

We are offering this service mobile as well!
I've had two Minn Kotas on my 33 Freeman for nearly 2 years now. Absolutely zero problems. One can hold the boat all day long in 90% of conditions, I only deploy the second in extreme conditions. But now the new "Quest" series is available, and is much bigger and stronger. Designed bottom up for use on large offshore boats, the footprint is nearly twice as big, everything about it is much more robust. We litterally havnt seen a single problem yet from one of these new units, and we have sold and installed a ton of them since they came out about 6 months ago. Also noteworthy, are the new Garmin units, we have been getting RAVE reviews from them as well, and we have yet to see a single problem from them yet as well. Customers also note the awesome interface to their Garmin electronics, as you now have full control right from your MFD. At Boattronics, we even hand build our own custom charging systems that are absolutely bullet proof, extending your available time on the water tremendously. Have any trolling motor questions? DO ANY OTHER SHOPS WANT TO CHALLENGE US?
I've been a professional audio installer for 27 years. I competed successfully in both SQ and DB competitions for years. Point is, my latest creation is something special, and i have the experience under my belt to say so. Though its far from finished, I'm now demonstrating the loudest 6 speaker boat stereo system in the world at my shop. Think I'm lying? Come check it yourself. Youll have to sign a waiver for your ear drums. I'm preparing to do a $1000 challenge at the sandbar incase any if you are interested, please message me because I need challengers, you will not be turned away if you meet requirements. We are about 2 months out due to my last minute decision to build a custom Armstrong bracket. Simple rules. 6 speakers or less, must be marine grade audio permanently mounted in the boat. In other words, no professional stage audio. We will use an spl meter, and a panel of 10 randomly selected sand bar officiandoes. Please share or tag any of your friends that may stand a chance, they will have to bring their cash day of for this soon to be announced sanctioned event. For any of you that want to hear this unbelievable stereo, message me to schedule your experience at my shop which is now fully operational. This little bay boat, 6 speaker stereo is louder than my Freeman which has 6 12" woofers, and 12 8" speakers. It's not how many you have, but how you use them that counts!
I need to also give a special shout out to Bjorn, our RF brother, for his and RF's world record holding team for their direct help in engineering an absolutely nuts system!
Does anyone have a new or used single engine Armstrong bracket? Bonus points for the extra floatation model!
Look at the 🔥 coming out of Boattronics Marine Inc. today! Rick insisted on backlighting the Amp and fuse panel rack at no extra charge to the customer too! Full overhaul pics coming soon!

I have a great share for you today! The boys at Boat and Motor superstore put together a seemingly unbiased "Trolling motor shootout", to compare the top four brands on the same boat with the same variables. The results are pretty awesome! Here is my breakdown of the data:
PULL TEST
Power Pole Move 72" $5,600 pulled 123lbs
Garmin Kracken 75" $4,100 pulled 119lbs
Minn Kota Terrova 72" $4,100 pulled 112lbs
Rhodan. 72" $3,300 pulled 104lbs
SPOT LOCK ACCURACY
Surprisingly, this test proved all held so tight there was no discernable difference.
AMPERAGE (full speed)
Garmin pulled the most
Rhodan pulled the least
AMPERAGE (half speed)
Garmin pulled the most
Power Pole pulled the least
SPEED TEST
The Garmin, PP and MK were all neck and neck, until towards the end, the Garmin won.
TUG OF WAR
They took the two strongest motors, the PP and Garmin in full tug of war, and the Garmin clearly won.
I believe they did try to do a legit, unbiased comparison, so this is great data. I'm posting the link below so you can watch the video yourself. As always, we are also unbiased and will tell you the facts based on tremendous experience with all brands. We offer the finest installation money can buy, and custom hand built chargers and switching systems that are in a class all on their own. Book us today! 904-545-1270

We check every device, every pump, every light, every switch, etc. But we also inspect thru hulls, ball valves, plumbing, steering system, throttle and shift, etc.
"Clean up"- An electrical systems clean up, based on your budget. On most boats we can make a big difference in just one days time.
"Full rewire"- A bow to stern replacement of every single wire on the boat, also including all switches, breakers, fuse panels, battery switches, terminal strips, ground bars, etc. Basically, a replacement of the entire electrical system.

(Picture of our 31 Contender as featured in Florida Sportsmans Dream Boats tv show, and Yamaha Marine comercails)
Look what's back at my shop!!!! 4 years ago, we shocked the center console industry with our overhaul on my own 2002 31 Contender. New tanks, unreal paint inside and out, motors, top with second station, wiring, electronics, uhpolstery, literally EVERYTHING!
It was so amazing, that it caught the attention of the producers at Florida Sportsmans Dream Boats. They filmed a show about it, and it's been on national television many times since then, along with publications from Yamaha, Simrad and others as well.
I ran this boat for two years, before I had the opportunity to buy a Freeman that I couldn't resist. I needed the money fast, made one post on Facebook, and it sold overnight for $200,000. As far as we know, that's the most an overhauled 31 Contender has ever sold for, still to this day 4 years later! That's because people know the quality and craftsmanship that goes into our builds, and it adds tremendous value and disirability to the resale.
Now the boat lives with its new owner in south Florida, but he still comes to Jacksonville for every service because he wouldn't trust anyone else. At Boattronics, we build true DREAM BOATS, and we want to build yours next! Call to book today!
