As a part of Baptist Medical Center, our specialized Motherhood Space team helps pregnant and new moms with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), often referred to as postpartum depression.

The Motherhood Space Day Program offers free childcare, is covered by insurance, Medicaid scholarships, transportation available for those with financial hardship, guest pass to the YMCA for 30 days, private lactation space, massage chair and much more!

Meet Katie!

Katie is one of our APRNs who has a passion for caring for women in all ages and stages of life. She was an RN for 10 years practicing primarily in labor and delivery and found through the years that women’s health care was her calling. She believes her passion is driven by working in an environment that is totally opposite from her home life that is full of testosterone: a loving husband of almost 15 years, Kyle, and her two energetic boys Gavin, 8, and Decker, 5.

In her spare time you’ll find her catching up with girlfriends with a good glass of Italian wine, cheering on her boys at their baseball games, watching football (Go Dawgs! Go Jags!), or relaxing at the beach.
