Civil 3D Designer/Drafter

AutoCAD Civil 3D Designer - JACKSONVILLE
Almond Engineering is looking to fill a Civil 3D CAD Technician position in our Jacksonville office. An ideal candidate would have project work and process knowledge experience with 3D experience in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Analyze sketches, notes and other input to determine and plan the best approach to develop and complete the drawings with minimal supervision.
• Prepare finished drawings from complex sketches, notes, layout, details and verbal instructions.
• Check drawings for quality assurance.
• Independently maintain accuracy, quality, completeness, and schedule.
• Learn and adhere to required CAD standards and requirements on a project-by-project basis.
• Work with project managers and design engineers to ensure timely project completion within allocated budgets.
• Utilize Civil3D to create surfaces, corridors, earthworks analysis, utility plans, profiles, etc.
• Responsible for providing Civil 3D design CAD support for projects ranging in scope from residential subdivisions, commercial and industrial development to water and sewer projects

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Drafting (recommended) or completion of a technical trade school in CAD, drafting or related field
• 5 years’ experience in similar position with Land Development and Civil Site Design projects.
• Demonstrated strong 3D design experience, competence in AutoCAD (required).
• A good working knowledge of civil engineering principles, land development, practices, methods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, committed to project schedules and deadlines, able to work independently and within a team environment, and self-motivated.
