Hey everybody! We will be conducting our first "City of Jefferson Public Safety Parade" on Thursday, April 16, 2020!

Here are the planned routes, so if you LIVE in these neighborhoods we will see you soon!!

Old Pendergrass Rd - West of US HWY 129.
This includes:
Jefferson Walk
Jefferson Place
Indian Springs
Pendergrass Station
Plantation Walk
Greystone

Old Swimming Pool Rd - West of US HWY 129
This includes:
Mallards Landing
Mallards Cove
The Woodlands
River Mist

Hwy 11 - West of US HWY 129
This includes:
Briarcrest
Jameston Place
Bryceland Manor
Morgan's Creek

Now, please know we have a few rules we need all of our citizens to abide by in order to continue with these parades:

1) The neighborhoods listed above are for the FAMILIES that LIVE in these neighborhoods. If you do not see your neighborhood above, please don't go to your friends house that does live in a neighborhood above to see the parade.

2) Please remember to stay in YOUR yard or home, on YOUR property, with YOUR family. We are still combating COVID-19 and still need to abide by the Governor's Orders to Shelter in Place and practice Social Distancing.

3) If possible please have your vehicles parked in your driveway and not in the road, especially the cul-de-sacs, we have big trucks and we want to keep our paraded moving efficiently!!

4) We are not throwing candy, that spreads germs, so there is no need to be standing that close to the road!

5) No sirens, therefore if your sweet babies are napping during the time of the parade, we do not plan on disturbing them!

We will let you know ONE HOUR before we begin our parade!

***Please respect the fact that we are a Public Safety Agency and if an emergency occurs during the time of the parade we must leave to answer the call! We are sorry for any inconvenience and will not reschedule your neighborhood if this occurs, but we must do our jobs first and foremost***

Just to let you guys in on a pretty cool secret...

It has been brought to our attention that the citizens would love to see a "Public Safety Parade" like many have been seeing on the news in surrounding areas and states.

Just to let you know, we hear you! We are aware that you guys want a parade here so we are working on getting one set up! We currently have 44 subdivisions in the city limits as well as multiple more neighborhoods, so we are working on routes that are most effective in reaching children as well as safe enough for us to drive all our BIG FIRETRUCKS through without turning around, what other agencies will be involved, and when it will occur.

So stay tuned guys! We are so excited for this!
