Yesterday was truly a full circle moment. Hundreds of people gathered for a community day and health fair sponsored by Deliverance Evangelistic Church. Children's games, information for adults in every area, vendors, BDCCares.com provided the updated vaccine and performed testing, flu shots, blood work, health screenings. I answered medical questions all day and occasionally acute care was needed in our medical office. Our nurses are THE BEST. A 10,000 sq ft. ambulatory care center offering Peds, family practice, gyn, behavioral health and more. I built out of the pandemic in 'the neighborhood', annex to a church, nestled between housing urban development homes, and a large high school, along a bus route, where people can walk from their homes and receive compassionate and expert care. A planned concert, the police created the block party vibe on Lehigh Avenue. As I listened to the music and presentations I looked up and saw my street sign and in that moment I couldn't help but feel grateful, proud and excited for the what the future holds. This is true triumph from tragedy. We are positively impacting lives every day. It felt like home🙏🏿
