Finished up a couple of BIG gift projects and one little one. 🤖 It feels good to get these in the mail and off to their new homes. Now back to market prepping and working on my store! I've been brainstorming all sorts of new ideas for my shop and can't wait to share the new items. What are you hoping to see added to the lineup?

Now that I know this custom order gift has been given, I had to share this cute Bigfoot with you! I LOVED the tiny bird on a branch sticking out of his hair 😍 this one was a challenge, but he came out SO cute!

New year, new office space! Sorry kiddos, the Barbies and Legos are moving out of the way for Mom's (and Maddie's) yarns 😍 hopefully I can find enough room for all yarn and have room for photos too. Seeing what colors I have got my creativity flowing so look for new items soon in the shop!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I wanted to share one of my favorite gifts from this year. It was the Appalachian Mountain Christmas Advent calendar! Just look at these gorgeous colors 😍 I'm already working on some ideas to use these beautiful faces, but would love to hear your ideas too! I'm thinking maybe a color yoke sweater or two? Any favorite patterns I should look into?

Love this classic bunny lovey 😍 This is a last minute Christmas order from a sweet customer and I'm so happy I was able to fill it! I've sent off so many snuggly things this month and I hope each one brings someone joy this season. I've not shared many because I don't want to spoil any surprises 🤫 I wouldn't mind seeing pics from you after they are gifted!

When our courier to Michigan didn't work out, we decided to ship it to a central location for pickup! We may not be Amazon prime, but If you ordered from myself or Maddie's Makes and are in Michigan, your plushies will be arriving by the weekend! 🙌🏼 Any guesses on how much our box full of plushies weighed?

Made this little happy mean guy for my Grinch obsessed nephew as a gift! (Shhhh don't tell!) Should I add a little heart under his scarf? 🤔

Made with the (FREE!) Grinch ornament pattern by with a few mods for using super bulky yarn. Seriously a great pattern with video tutorials available on YouTube as well!

Quick update from me! I've decided to put my Etsy shop on vacation until after the holidays.

I find myself working custom orders and Christmas gifts between events and during rehearsals. It's a great problem to have! But I also want to spend time being present with my family. I haven't had the time to devote to getting more listings up yet so I'm taking a break until things slow down.

Hey y'all! I thought I'd take a minute to introduce myself. I'm Christina, the owner and creator behind Misty Mountain Knits.

My mom taught me to knit (only took 40ish years for it to stick) and I am a self taught crocheter. People always ask which skill I like better and I just can't choose! I love the look and feel of knit for wearables but crochet plushies are super fun to make and so cute! All my items are made by me, by hand.

I'm a homeschooling, stay-at-home mama to 2 kiddos who keep me incredibly busy. School always comes first in my day, and I'm often found working on projects while waiting at various kid activities. My son also likes to knit, and my daughter has her own little crochet business selling her plushies at kids markets!

We live in the Great Smoky Mountain corner of Appalachia where beanies are called toboggans and soup beans and cornbread are a favorite meal. The beauty of these mountains never gets old and is the inspiration behind my business name.
