Hey, Friends! On Wednesday I'm heading up to Anchorage to play again at the Spenard Jazz Festival. I'll be playing with Seward's "Elite 9," and will be playing trio with Bassist Ray Booker and Drummer Clay Good. We'll be playing a sold-out House Concert on Thursday night, at the opening party Friday evening at Spenard's own House of Love, and on the Top Deck of the 49th Street Brewing Company. At 3PM Elite 9 thakes the stage; at 4PM Rob Cohen Trio. If you're in town come by for some great music and to say hello. If you're not, please tell your friends. Hey friends, I'm up in Anchorage this week, playing at the Spenard Jazz Festival. Lenny Pickett, of Saturday Night Live and Tower of Power fame, is the guest artist this year. I'll be playing in his band this coming Saturday, doing tunes from both the SNL and TOP repertoire. Rehearsals have been great, and it should be an amazing finale. I'll also be playing a set of my own material on Saturday, as well as sitting in with Seward's Elite 9, and additionally with my friends Rick Zelinski and Yngvil Vatn Guttu.
