Meet Corinne! Corinne is our Chief Operations Officer and has been with Milestone Senior Services for just over 4 years. She enjoys supporting our mission every day to assist vulnerable older and disabled adults remain in their community, allowing them not only to survive, but thrive. She goes on to say that Milestone Senior Services is a large asset to the community, and that she looks forward to our future innovation and continual support of the communities that we serve.

Her free time is filled with watching her daughter play sports, camping throughout the summer months with family, and also schoolwork - this lifetime learner is working on her doctorate!

Last week Milestone Senior Services was happy to host Shop With A Senior, an outreach initiative between Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers, community organizations and seniors. To date, this initiative has impacted 153 seniors with food insecurity.

Meet Paul! He is one of our Kalamazoo Meals on Wheels drivers for just over 10 years. His favorite part about being a driver with Milestone is getting to help seniors, and his favorite memory while working here was the staff Christmas party a couple years ago.

One thing many might know about Paul is that he was born in Rome, Italy! If you catch him in his off time he is likely playing golf, drinking a beer, or traveling.

Meet some of Milestone Senior Services' Tuesday Toolmen! This morning was a recognition breakfast to acknowledge their accomplishments for this year (so far). 2023 is not done yet and neither are they, but so far they've build 92 ramps for a total of 3,565 feet! If those ramps reached into the sky they would be taller than the tallest building in the world! Our 18th annual Chili Cook off was quite a success yesterday! We had 14 entries and many taste testers!

Our winners were:

3rd place - Sara Crouch, Manager of Mental Health Services

Congratulations and thank you to all that entered a chili, attended, tasted, and voted!

Meet Kerria! He joined the Milestone Senior Services team about 2 years ago, starting as a Meals on Wheels Driver and most recently he is an essential member of our Fund Development team! He enjoys having the opportunity to collaborate with the seniors in our community and knowing that what we do helps relieve some of the burdens many of our seniors have to deal with daily.

When asked how Milestone Senior Services has impacted him, he states "I try to live by the quote "Be the change you wish to see in the world" and working here at Milestone, has made me realize how profound that quote is and how a simple word of encouragement or inspiration can make a profound difference in someone's life."
