We are recruiting a cohort of wellness ambassadors who’d share inforrmation within their networks around topics such as mental wellness, infection prevention, and general availability of resources. This is in the hopes of improving peer support for folks who may be feeling isolated or without hope. The ambassadors will come into the HD on a monthly basis to receive ongoing training.

REDLINED: Cities, Suburbs and Segregation, the Johnson County Museum’s newest special exhibition, has opened to the public throughout 2022.
The exhibit explores the history of redlining and how it both shaped and was shaped by Johnson County and the Kansas City region. Redlining refers to the systematic disinvestment of some neighborhoods and populations when private industry and later the federal government funded and supported home purchases for some people and neighborhoods over others.
