The KU School of Medicine is hosting the Primary Care Workshop on January 27th for sophomore college students!
“This one-day workshop prepares Kansas students to get the most from shadowing physicians, understand ‘life as a doctor’, learn about universal precautions, and learn the basics of a physical exam. Students will participate in a physician led Problem-Based Learning (PBL) group illustrating a clinical office visit. There will be breakout sessions to individualize learning about suturing and aspects of the physical exam. There will be an opportunity to have lunch with current medical students and receive a tour of the School of Medicine. Presentations throughout the day include navigating the doctor’s office visit, professionalism, patient confidentiality, and maximizing your shadowing experience.”
