Child Protection Center, Inc.
To build a healthier community, we combat child abuse and violence at the Child Protection Center. Child Protection Center, Inc.
(CPC) located in Kansas City, Missouri is a nationally accredited child advocacy center that has served victims of child abuse and their families for more than 17 years. It is the only child advocacy center providing these services in Jackson, Cass and a portion of Lafayette Counties in Missouri.
Every conversation, every action is part of our commitment to protecting kids and providing a safe space where their voices are heard. With recent school threats raising anxiety among children, our Director of Clinical Services, Dawn Clendenen-Moon, shared in a recent news story that talking about these tough subjects helps reduce fears and worries.
Every effort counts. Whether it’s sharing this post or offering support, together we can make a difference.

Thanks so much to The Kansas City Chiefs for their continued support and for making last night’s game unforgettable! At CPC, our highly trained Forensic Interviewers work with children to gather important information in a sensitive and supportive manner. We understand the importance of respecting each child’s unique voice and ensuring their safety. The art these children create is a testament to the compassionate environment we strive to provide every day.
Note: While we celebrate these beautiful artworks, we always prioritize the privacy and confidentiality of the children and their families. The stories shared here are done so with care and respect for the children’s experiences.
