In conjunction with the Garand Collectors Association (GCA), the program awards those who consistently score well in the John C. Garand Match at designated CMP competitions with gold, silver and bronze medals. Good luck to all in 2024!

Attention GCA Members!

The Royal Tiger Imports M1 rifle that has been featured in a recent series of articles in The GCA Journal will be given away on December 15. It has been refurbished by Fulton Armory and range-tested. It would make a great addition to anyone's collection. In addition to the rifle, some bonus items will be given away, courtesy of Fulton Armory.

Sorry, members outside the U.S. states and territories are not eligible. Members in good standing as of Dec. 1 are automatically entered in the drawing. Thanks to technology, the drawing will be electronic rather than slips of paper. A video announcing the winners will be posted. The winner must be legally able to own and take possession of the rifle.

So pay close attention to your phone and email on December 15 for a notification that you are the lucky winner! GCA Director Rob Clark is overseeing this drawing and will make the notifications and explain the process to receive the rifle.

We have a very special rifle this year to be given away at our Convention’s banquet dinner this year. This unopened DCM M1 Rifle that was ordered in 1986 was donated to us in order to be given away. The box will be opened, and photos taken in order to create a GCA Journal article. The serial number is unknown. Even if you don't win it, don't you want to see what's in that box? The winner must be physically present at the drawing, registered for the Convention’s banquet dinner, a GCA member as well as legally able to take possession of the rifle. We hope to see you there!

Master Marksman Award Update
The CMP has now added GCA Master Marksman points to their Competition Tracker website. If you have fired a John C. Garand Match in a qualifying CMP event this year, the points can be tracked. One must have been a current GCA member on the day the match was fired in order for the points to have counted. An NRA Shooting Sports Journal | CMP Awards $250,000 In Scholarships For 2023-2024 School Year For the 2023-2024 school year, the Civilian Marksmanship Program has awarded a total of 114 scholarships to competitive shooters deemed “scholar marksman.”

Please don't call or email the GCA office asking us to send your information to the CMP!

We send an updated listing of current memberships to the CMP on a regular basis. It is not done on an individual membership basis, and it is not an automated process. It is simply an Excel Spreadsheet of our data base. Everyone should get a membership card each time you renew.

Your GCA membership card is proof of your membership status. You need to submit a copy of your membership card with all of your CMP orders. If you don't have your membership card, we are always happy to issue you a replacement, or you should be able to print a copy from the website. :)
