The Beginning:
Over THREE years ago now, I made a facebook post asking if anyone would be interested if I were to host a monthly script reading at my house for the sole purpose of just exposing ourselves to new plays and hearing things out loud. The response I got was totally unexpected. Over 150 people commented that they would love to be a part of something like that... and of course, I got scared.
But a friend advised me that those scary things mean that they are creatively worth it, and my passion is finding and cultivating community in our craft and so HERE WE ARE.
The Nitty Gritty:
I’ll host Sunday Script Circle once a month, if possible, and it doesn't matter if we barely know one another. Want to hear a script read out loud? COME. Bring friends. All are welcome! I want this to be a no pressure situation - men can read as women. Woman can read as men. Younger people can read older characters, etc. etc. It is also a first come, first serve basis. I will list the character's needed in the event details. If you are interested in reading just SHOOT ME A PRIVATE MESSAGE and I will cast it on the event. I'll send out digital scripts to all who are reading and if you need a hard copy, just let me know.
