It's a gift to be able to touch somebody and steer them towards wellness or just to feel a sense of healing. One of my favorite things was right when we were coming back from COVID, and I had a lot of people get on my table and say it was good just to be touched. People were vulnerable enough to say that. In massage therapy, you're not fixing everybody, especially not immediately. But having an ability to connect with somebody and touch their spirit, their soul, heart, and mind and just make them feel good is an incredible gift. By learning to be a better massage practitioner, you have the ability to further help that person on the table and actually become a healing part of that person's life.

That's why I am so grateful that I'm now co-owner of Kauai Massage Trainings at Golden Lotus Studio. I'm excited to teach and to learn through our next cohort of students, starting in September 2023.

My favorite thing about teaching is when that light turns on. When my students are like, "Hey, I got this." That's the most exciting part.

In massage therapy, you're learning something that is about giving, caring, and being responsible for that person on the table.
