It’s a new era for dairy research!

We’re excited to partner with the University of British Columbia as they open the largest robotic milking research facility in North America. The team is retrofitting their two existing barns at the UBC Dairy Center to include six GEA DairyRobot R9500 robots.

“Becoming a research farm milking 100% of our herd with robots is significant as it is representative of dairy farms adapting to robotics worldwide,” says Nelson Dinn, UBC business operations manager.

The robots will help provide stronger individual cow data, elevate animal welfare and sustainability as the university works to produce more milk with fewer cows.
