Spine Decompression
If you spend a lot of time sitting down at work, and often feel pain in your back and shoulders, we have something for you to try!
Find a pull-up bar, grab on to it as you would for a pull-up, and simply hang from it for 10-30secs. A dead hang will help decompress and stretch out your spine. It's helpful for alleviating some of the tightness in your spine caused by sitting down or from soreness after a workout.
Try this next time you stretch, or before your next workout! ππͺ

- 1 wellness related thing you do every day:
"I never go a day without a walk, my favorite time is early in the mornings when the sun is rising."
- Advice to anyone starting out in their fitness journey:
"Start slow and be consistent because there will always be high and there will always be lows. Ride the waves of your journey, but enjoy and understand every part of the process."

"I canβt choose one. Powerlifting, jiu jitsu, and slinging kettlebells"

"Music doesnβt change the grind!"

Incline Dumbbell Press!
Why add incline dumbbell presses into your routine? Are they better than barbell incline presses?
Some of the benefits of incorporating any incline press into your routine are:
- Increased symmetry of the upper chest and shoulders
-Increased shoulder strength/stability
-Increased core strength
-Helps increase your strength on flat bench press movements
Another reason why dumbbell incline presses can be so beneficial is the control over range of motion it gives you. As opposed to a barbell, with dumbbells you can increase the range of motion increasing the "stretch" at the bottom of the movement.

Why use medicine balls in your routine?
Medicine balls offer a wide range of exercises you can perform. Anything from core work, med ball slams, lunges, med ball thrusters, etc.
You can get a very good full body workout with just 1 medicine ball! Very versatile and useful piece of gym equipment. π―

Tools of recovery.
Sunday night is the perfect time to do some sort of recovery by using a foam roller, massage roller or massage gun. Stretching, foam rolling and massaging any trouble areas throughout your body will ensure you start your week feeling refreshed and ready to attack another week of training!
Some good recovery tools to have at home are:
- Foam roller
- Massage gun
-Massage ball (any firm ball will do; a lacrosse ball will work perfectly)

Bench Press Tips: πͺπ―
1) Plant your feet firmly on the ground. This will ensure your body remains stabilized throughout the movement.
2) Find a grip that is slightly wider than shoulder width. This will give you the most strong and stable position to drive the barbell off your chest.
3) Finally, keep your shoulder blades retracted and core engaged. Doing so will give you more stability and driving force as you push the weight up.
